This Friday is our Finale of year 2024 and with such a fantastic opportunity to source and promote such an amazing line up of DJs from Byron to Burleigh, we present on our last night, two of our faves with who’s taste in music is well recognised and of course the master dance floor taste maker Mr .abeltoro who’s name precedes himself.

A big thank you to everyone who supported our little community disco event but most of all a massive shout out needs to go to Steve and Chelsey from .arts.precinct as well as the quiet supporting couple in the background who all helped bring this event to you for free.. thank you! A big shout out also for all their awesome charitable work where Darren & Sarah Sutton, Laura Peck, and Dale Stephen have collectively raised over $416k for Northern Rivers charities supporting causes such as homelessness, women’s shelters, domestic violence, youth services, and LGBTIQ+ communities.

Thank you Nicholas, for your absolute solid passion and commitment without want in return for all your efforts. It’s been a joy to discover how a person like yourself has discovered such a passion and knowledge for such beautiful taste in music.

As we wind down our year with three more weekends to go, we’d like to give a shout out to this weeks headline DJ presents FRIDAYS with .abeltoro who has been a solid supporter of our night, always encouraging and suggesting other Djs to play a style of music that is essentially just so easy to dance to!

Synonymous with the electronic music scene from day one, Sydney-born DJ of Spanish origin first came to local attention in the 90’s where he played alongside The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream. As a music producer/remixer, his credits include Sophie Monk (Sydney), Olli Wisdom (Space Tribe), Funk D’Void (UK) and Paul Mac (Sydney).

Most recently Abel has performed a string of regular gigs in Sydney, Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Brisbane. Abel has also been busy in the studio writing and releasing new material on European labels ‘Trippy Code Records’ and ‘Furrier Records’ With more new music set to be released in 2024

Abel is renowned for his unique style of music and passion at what he does has the ability to play a diverse range of music which sees him DJ at festivals and clubs around the country and across the globe.

This month we welcome two more fresh sound selectors to the line up at @themurbah Presents Fridays @m.arts.precinct with @djjasondigby and @dj_lippo who both have created successful paths as dance music DJs locally and abroad. As we also like to explore genres, this time we’re going to throw in some new wave edits to give the month a little 80’s flavour.
