Last Saturday we had the pleasure of hosting a lunch to celebrate the upcoming retirement of vet and long standing practice owner, Chris Collins of Piper Street Veterinary Clinic.
58 family, friends and colleagues came together to celebrate Chris’s 35 years at Piper St Vets and wished him well for his upcoming sea change to Sawtell.
When Chris first came to the Piper St practice, the clinic was housed in a 1 room facility, growing over the years to what it is today.

Winter may be here but the good times still need to roll, so we’ve put together our top ideas for how to beat the winter blues and get the party started. The cold weather brings a whole lot of new opportunities that can make your functions stand out from the rest!
1. Keep your guests warm and cosy this winter! Have your guests enter in style with a red carpet rolled out and gather round with the warmth of climate controlled heating.
2. Consider a warm drink on arrival such as a glass of mulled wine which is a nice and simple idea to ensure your guests are kept warm and cheery.
3. In winter, warmer, more wholesome canapés work better than they would served in the height of summer. So why not go for more of the warm options.
4. Have you considered a winter themed event? Nothing creates a magical winter theme better than turning the room into winter forest. Branches, twigs and blossoms create a dramatic effect and would be a perfect idea for The Pavillion. White florals and green foliage also work well to make the room look cool and crisp.
5. Remember it can get pretty cold and accessories will be important to keep you warm. For the ladies why not try a faux fur stole, a veil, a cape or a chic cardie are all good options. For the guys you can’t get more wintry than velvet, plus it’s a nice thick fabric which should keep you warm.

The Pavillion Function Centre and Gardens a multi award winning ‘Bride Choice Award’ venue located 7km from Tamworth town centre. The venue itself is surrounded by beautiful tree canopies, running water streams and a large feature pond to the back of the main function room.
The Pavillion is a unique space in the New England region where we are able to cater for all function needs. We host a range of functions such as corporate meetings, seminars, cocktail functions, birthday parties, school formals, christenings, baby showers and most popular of all weddings.
The Pavillion prides itself in ensuring each and every function is catered to the highest standard from the point of initial enquiry through to the running of the event and post event follow up. We achieve this by ensuring those employed at the Pavillion are all highly trained professionals in their field.
