Sydney Trapeze School is part of Sydney Festival 2025!!
All January, they will showcase their spectacular flying trapeze next to the IMAX.
You can join trapeze classes three times daily (10am, 2:30pm and 4pm)
AND you can watch spectacular shows at 12:30pm and 6:45pm.

This incredibly powerful exhibition by Ponch Hawkes showcases 500 women over 50 who dared to be bare; photographed n**e with a prop that means something to them. It is a celebration of woman's bodies in older age... an heaven knows we can do with a bit of that!

It was hard to choose from Jacqui's photos. I choose the first one because it not only shows the amazing shapes Jacqui has made with the hammock...but also her fab fangs!

The second..I love how .photos has captured the billowing hammock in the lights.

Gayleen & Alex 💜
What a performance.. and these beautiful lines were maintained across two songs!
This act was first performed 15 years ago when Gayleen had just turned 50 and was in a doubles trapeze class at with young Alex- who went on to become the owner of the school!!!

We are so glad they brought it back to life for 50up

Calling all 50up Sydneysiders and surrounds to a 5 week beginners circus workshop at Sydney Trapeze School

Finally getting around to posting the marvellous photos taken by Tony Palmer at the 50up showcase at Sydney Fringe.

For our small group of performers it was unexpected and incredibly exciting to perform in such a large venue, with amazing light and sound. So we are really grateful to have such a great photographer to capture these moments/memories.

This is one just before I went on stage - I'm talking to the stage manager, Hayley, who was lovey.

I've been a bit slow with The Sydney Fringe Vault performance photos.
What a fantastic event this was. This is us, on a high after the show. ( just missing Mark Holland and Gayleen and Alex 😥)

I am so grateful to Alex Mannering and Thomas Gorham for creating this opportunity for our 50up community.

Thanks to all the amazing performers! And of course everyone who supported us along the way and/ or came to the show.

Let's do it again next year!!!
