Leonie and Dylan let me completely nerd out with some Stargate references to finish off their super fun ceremony. It went a little something like this…

“As you embark on this journey together, I want to finish by asking you to remember the wise words of Dr Daniel Jackson from Stargate, “I have crossed oceans of time to find you.”
May you always find strength and courage in each other’s presence, just like the characters of SG-1 faced challenges together.
May the promises you made today serve as the gateways to your shared future.
And may your marriage be the best plan F in all of history.”

was the wonderful photographer for this epic day and she’s written a lovely blog about it. Head over to her webpage to check it out.

I’m stoked to be back at this weekend!

In my humble opinion.... ALWAYS 👏🏼 do 👏🏼 the 👏🏼 confetti 👏🏼 shot 👏🏼.

And before you come at me saying, well my ceremony venue won't allow it... think outside the box. Bubbles, biodegradable confetti, hole punched native leaves, dried petals. Just make this shot happen. Your reception venue may allow you a confetti entry or exit. You may be able to find a private location where your wedding party can shower you in confetti.

Personally, it is one of my favourite photos from my own wedding and in my humble opinion you won't regret it.

Beautiful photo from .by.adelle of two of my faves in Cathy and Nick. Cathy and Nick didn't let their indoor ceremony stop them from the ultimate confetti exit and as the rest of their night was THE ultimate party, the guests didn't even notice the confetti underneath their dinner tables!

Emma & David Southall-Rose married on the very memorable 24.02.24

Captured by the very lovely Melissa's Photography up at Kings Park.

Emma and David's love story began with their chance meeting at the start line of the 2016 HBF Run for a Reason! However, I believe fate had been working behind the scenes to bring these two together. Their race bib numbers were consecutive (even though they had registered for the race completely separately), they found old photos that featured them together in previous park runs and they had both completed a particular park run back in 2014 and clocked the exact same finish time. I believe the universe was doing it's best work to bring them together.

Their ceremony was filled with so many heartfelt moments including a special thank you to their parent's and children, the most gorgeous personalised vows and just a whole heap of laughs.

What Emma and David share is an easy love. It is uncomplicated, drama free, a friendship, but above all it is based on enjoying the simple things in life. They always spark joy in the everyday, whilst bringing a sense of completion and fulfilment to each other's lives. It was truly an honour to be involved in their special day.

Their review: Holly was the most amazing celebrant we could have asked for. Her interest in us as a couple and our unique love story was her focus, personalising every detail. We were given the option to view her narrative prior to the ceremony which we declined. On the day, she nailed all the finer details, making the ceremony engaging for our guests. Her communication throughout was spot on. She made the job of writing our vows and choosing our reading much easier by providing information and examples. She was very knowledgable about the whole process and was quick to answer any question that we had. Many of our guests commented on how personalised our ceremony was and as a result, very enjoyable."

Picture this. You are on the drive to a ceremony, when you receive a call from an unknown number. The voice states, hello, I am the cousin of Luke (my groom for the day.) When Kelly (my bride for the day) gets down the aisle, Luke is going to walk off. He has a surprise for her. Just go with it... trust us. She will love it.

Absolutely uncertain on whether I could just "go with it," (I mean isn't it anyone's worst nightmare that their partner may indeed just walk off?) I luckily remembered the wise words of Kelly, herself. At their rehearsal, on our departing hugs, she said to me, "buckle in, he's up to something" and at the time I had laughed it off. I expected cheeky vows or a few jokes from Luke.

So, when Kelly made it down the aisle, Luke did indeed stroll off. He then quickly (or not so quickly -it felt like my heart was in my throat the whole time he was missing) returned, dressed in a King costume, dancing to his own welcome back sting. I managed to calm my heart rate when I looked across at Kelly, who had tears rolling down her cheeks and was in fits of laughter, ready to welcome back and marry her one and only King, Luke. The guests were also roaring with laughter as Luke showed off his cloak and crown.

We had a whole heap of fun after this and Luke's little prank set such a lighthearted vibe for the whole ceremony. You can see that Kelly clearly knows Luke far too well, Luke knows the exact humour that Kelly can tolerate, and that they are absolutely perfect for one another. I think these two have a long future of cracking each other up, whilst keeping life exciting with their little surprises. An absolute day to remember and one I will never ever forget!

I’ve been saving my post for this wedding for a while, because this one, well, it was so incredibly special to me.

Rianda was one of the very first Mum’s I met at mother’s group and we shared an instant connection. Even now, three years on, our boys adore each other (I even documented meeting her in a baby journal I kept. First child things 🤣)

So you can imagine how thrilled and moved I was when Andrew and Rianda asked not only me, but my whole family to join them on Rottnest Island to be a part of their special day. The privilege will never be lost on me, and I am so grateful that I was the one to officially declare them as Mrs and Mr Stephen.

From their humble beginnings in the PE department at Willetton High School to building a beautiful family together, Ri and Stevo have lovingly hand crafted the ultimate team. They planned the most perfect, intimate moment to celebrate the lifetime they plan to share together.

So here is to footy remaining Andrew’s “thing”, to the housework being completed before 7am and to their promise that they will always show up for their family, never taking a moment for granted.

Happy one year wedding anniversary to the lovely Steve and ❤️ I had a blast making these two official at the gorgeous exactly one year ago.

When Andrea pulled together her criteria for a potential suitor it read:
Must drink red wine (woman of my own heart 🍷) ✅
must enjoy a great scotch ✅
must LOVE camping, fishing and the outdoors ✅ must be into dogs ✅
and last but not least, must be a minimum of 183cm tall. 🆘

Steve only fell short of one of the criteria (by exactly 0.5cm) so decided to reach out anyway and a coffee date was set. And as the old saying goes… well the rest (plus the 0.5cms) was history for Andrea and Steve. I am so glad that these two awesome humans have found their happily ever after. Here is to one hundred more years by each others side 😉

“Holly, we cannot thank you enough! Your perfect description of Dylan and I as a couple was so fun, engaging, and had just the right amount of nerd content. 😅 Your amazing personality, energy and wit kept us calm and collected throughout the whole ceremony and we are honestly so happy to have had you as our celebrant. Our family and friends have all commented on how amazing and personal your ceremony was and that it is one they will remember forever.
We cannot recommend you enough ❤️”

Libby & Patrick 6.4.24

Libby and Patrick can safely say they did it their way and I loved every minute of it. A few things they did that made their big day “them.”

1.) They had their family and friends arrive staggered pre-ceremony to have individual connection time with them. It allowed them to get a photo with each guest feeling fresh and excited. Connection clearly was important to them.

2.) They said “I do” under an arbor that Patrick lovingly hand crafted himself in one of their favourite spots, Bayview Park. Patrick is one handy man. Minimal set up. Maximum love.

3.) They ditched the traditional reception, had some casual drinks post ceremony and then enjoyed a long boozy lunch with their nearest and dearest the Friday after. Give me a boozy lunch anyday 🍷

Do it your way, always. Thank you Libby and Patrick for allowing me to play a role in a really really special moment for your family. It will forever stay in my memories and I applaud you for doing your day, your way.

Thanks to for the snap and for being a total legend to work with.

Tennille & Matt 07.10.23

“I will show up for you, everyday. I am all in.”

Tennille and Matt met at the infamous Hip-E club. For those who haven’t been lucky enough to grace this venue, think a Kombi van as the DJ booth, retro throwback nights and very very sticky floors. But after their shared disco pashes on the d-floor, they locked eyes over a kebab and chips on the curb outside.

This one was everything to me. I met when I was in my early 20’s when we worked alongside each other at a local cinema. We hit it off big time. Fast forward until I’m in my mid 30’s and Tennille was my student midwife, who was there standing at the business end, for the arrival of our first baby. She’s seen more of me than most 🤣

So, it was beyond my honour to be their celebrant. Their vows had me in tears and the stories they shared made me want to be a permanent third wheel in their life. Unlucky for me their gorgeous Doggo Darcy has beat me to that role.

When I finally got to meet .james.giles well, I couldn’t have picked a more perfect human to share a lifetime with Tennille.

Thank you Tennille and Matt. You gave me goosebumps, made me cry and reminded me that I am the luckiest lady alive to be doing what I do.

01.12.2023

Ashlee & Alex are a team, who were 9 years in the making. A team that thrives on celebrating during the great times and supporting each other through the tough. A team that loves camping, fishing, walking their Lola (gorgeous floof featured in photos) and enjoy those moments where they get to chuck on a film and sit together side by side. A team that is based on the foundations of unconditional support and unwavering commitment.

You can truly see that Ashlee and Alex are going to be a team for life. I had a total blast marrying these two love birds and they made their day so special, so “them.” Ashlee was breathtakingly gorgeous and Alex, well he scrubbed up pretty darn well for a bloke who will avoid a photo at any cost.

I loved being able to use the line with Ashlee’s Dad “we have to stop meeting like this,” as he walked with his second daughter down the aisle after I married his first daughter in April! He was so damn proud! 😍

Thank you Ashlee and Alex, for letting me into your lives, trusting me to tell your story and for just being an epic couple to hitch! You are so special to me ❤️🩷🧡

“Adam, early on in our journey, on a warm summers night before Christmas, I saw a very serious side to you - your hangry side. So I want to make my first vow to keep encouraging you to have snacks on you always - I want to get that one out there quickly in case you haven’t eaten today.”

Siobhan and James 14.10.23

📷 from the super talented

When James met Siobhan’s family, he was immediately inducted into farm life by being thrown into the back of a Ute, handed a bush chook and told he was pulling up the yabbie nets at the dam. After spending Christmas with Siobhan’s family, Siobhan’s Dad went above and beyond to make sure that James really felt a part of the family, by saying to James “nice to meet you, and if I don’t see you again, all the best.” Thankfully, they did see each other again and James was officially welcomed into the fam on the 14th October.

Celebrating at the beautiful they couldn’t have been further from bush chooks and yabbie filled damns, but Siobhan and James’ wedding was one filled with authenticity, all the style and a whole lot of love. I was lucky enough to go to uni with Siobhan, so it was a huge honour to stand beside her as she promised to love James until the end of time.

100 weddings and 3 years of Celebrancy!!! 🩷🩷🩷

Today I am celebrating two huge milestones and I have SO much to be thankful and grateful for. Family, friends, those cheerleading me on behind the scenes, those kicking my imposter syndrome straight in the shins, those who listened to my stories/whinging/freak outs but above all those couples who trusted me to make them official. To share and celebrate their story with their nearest and dearest.

Just lately I’ve received three back to back messages from couples saying that their favourite part of their wedding day was their ceremony and you know what… that’s exactly why I was inspired to do this gig. My passion is to make sure that you love every little bit of that special 30 mins I deliver for you and I will forever be honoured that you chose me and trusted me with what I know will be the favourite part of your day!

Happy anniversary to my one and only

I hope the day is filled with thoughtful love notes, delicious food, time with friends and cuddles with Jojo and Zuko. If I ever need a pick me up, I open up your script and read it again. You are truly soul mates and the examples you gave me of your love and dedication to one another will stick with me forever.💞

This wedding was truly ALL time and I know we can't pick favourite children, but my gosh, this one was up there. Oh and did I mention they had THE most epic confetti shot??? Check out their epic wedding party group cuddle post ceremony.

Row-Yi and Greg gave me the great gift ever by sharing THE most incredible review. I have spent a whole year debating how on earth I can post it. If you want to see the full review for yourself just check out my Facebook reviews, but here are a few snippets of some of my favourite words.

"Holly was the absolute best decision Greg and I made about our wedding day"

"She was warm, smiley, bought us coffee and we were a bit swept off our feet by her charm and all around loveliness."

"What we didn’t know was that we had won the celebrant jackpot by choosing Holly"

"You can just tell that Holly is someone who truly loves her job and absolutely believes in the magic of love"

"As for the wedding day itself and our ceremony - well, it was a dream come true. And hand on heart, Holly was the first vendor I wanted to reach out and thank the next morning."

"I can’t even count how many times we were complimented on “the best ceremony ever” and “the amazing celebrant” but just know it was more than Greg and I who felt the love yesterday with you under the arbour!!"

"THANK YOU for brilliantly capturing our love story, making us cry, keeping us smiling, breathing and feeling present, and of course having our loved ones touched to tears and laughing and cheering."

To Tanya and Scott, marriage is that feeling of completeness. It is affectionately referring to each other as butt head or bu****le and teaching each other that life doesn’t just exist in black and white. It is appreciating the little things, the everyday things, whilst always making sure that their every action is focused on putting their family first.

Dylan and Nicole's ceremony was one of THE most heartfelt moments I have ever been involved in. It was truly a celebration of their journey and all that they have achieved together. They delivered some of the most incredible vows to each other, wrote stunning words to their beautiful girls and when I looked around throughout the ceremony, well there was moments when there wasn't a dry eye in the house. It was something else.

So to Nicole Zorn and Dylan Kvas-Rothwell, thank you for the honour. Until you are raisins.

About time for a little Celebrations with Holly update! It’s already been a BIG 2023. Anyone else scratching their heads wondering how it is August already?

On Jan 4 we welcomed our second little man Ari Stewart who is almost 7 months old (yes, I realise I completely forgot to make an announcement on my socials 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m blaming that on having 2 under 2). But check out how damn cute he is 🩵

In July we said goodbye to a beloved furry family member, our brindle staffy Bilko. He was my OG baby and he took a little piece of my heart with him that day 💔

In April I quietly began marrying those family and friends who gifted me the honour of being their celebrant. These people were onboard with allowing me the softest possible landing for the arrival of Ari, whilst still allowing me to do what I love and enjoy a creative outlet. In the depths of motherhood, they allowed me to hold onto a little bit of me and to share their love stories. Thank you fam. 🙏

So what next? Well, I am back, well kinda, well sort of, not really. 🤣 I am back officially as of 2024, but in the meantime I am ramping up for those friends and fam I am marrying later this year (scripts, paperwork, you name it) and starting to take video calls to meet potential lovers for 2024.

Next year I will only be marrying two couples a month, so if you like what you see, lock me down lover. Less clients means more Holly for those who lock me in, more family time, but above all, allowing me the beautiful balance to keep doing what I love most!

📷 thanks to the beautiful maplefacephotography from our recent family shoot.

This wedding will forever be spine tingling special to me. The energy in the room before hand, the laughs we shared, their vows that had everyone bawling and just the love shared by two of the most genuine and bloody awesome people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

They gave me complete freedom, trusted me beyond belief and I loved every minute of being their celebrant. From high school sweethearts, to fake proposals, to an empty handbag offered for some IBS management, their love story truly has it all. Thanks Molly and Dan. I bloody love you two.

REVIEW: We cannot recommend Celebrations with Holly enough! Holly is friendly, bubbly, professional, kind hearted and everything you would want in your celebrant for your special day. We did not want a formal and serious ceremony and Holly nailed it! She had all our guests involved and the energy she created in the room can not be put into words. She managed to have our guests laughing one minute and crying the next. So many of our guests came to us after the wedding wanting Holly's details for their future weddings and nothing but compliments on the way she conducted our ceremony. The amount of effort that Holly puts into creating beautiful words and making the ceremony unique to the couple is second to none. Holly offers help when struggling to put together your vows and is only a message away when needed. Holly is just simply amazing!

Brianne and Scott connected over a mutual love for a Bunnings snag. Even though their first date conversation may have been slightly one sided, Scott couldn’t help but pull the car over on the drive home to send Brianne a quick text to say “I cannot wait to see you again.”

Their ceremony was filled with laughs, awesome vows (that referenced Brianne’s beloved bombers just a few times) and sentimental mentions of those very important loved ones.

REVIEW: Cannot thank Holly enough for the amazing job she did at our wedding in early April 2023. Holly made the ceremony so personal to us as a couple and was able to communicate our love story in such a special way to our friends and family. Holly was supportive to us throughout the lead up to the wedding, sending texts to check in, easy to understand rehearsal a couple of days before and ensured our vows that we had written were aligned. We had so many compliments from friends and family on how beautiful the ceremony was and what such a great job Holly did. We had one friend who is recently married say she wants to do it again now but with Holly as celebrant hehe. Along with multiple people saying Holly was MVP at the ceremony. Thank you again Holly :) Would certainly recommend her.

Thank you Brianne and Scott for being my first in my slow return from mat leave. You guys rock. ❤️

Too much information? No such a thing!

When it comes to your ceremony, I want to know everything, the nitty gritty, the logistics, the who is who, your music, your people, everything.

You want to know why? No… I’m not just a control freak from way back… but because I have got you. When all hell breaks loose (it rarely does, but when it does) I am there to make the best decision for you. And guess what, when all hell does break loose, 9/10 times everyone turns to me and says “What should we do?”

What if your musician is uncertain on your final song choices? Well, pre ceremony we have a chat and quickly run through the songs you have confirmed with me, so we are on the same page. Want those people you love most to have a seat front and centre? I can put out the signs for your seating plan before the ceremony. A family member have accessible needs? Let know, we can map out the quickest route in advance and make sure we have someone on hand to help out. Are we holding congrats until the reception? I’ll slot it into your post ceremony housekeeping!

It’s all the little things, the 1 percenters. I am here for them and here for you baby! I believe the entire ceremony is a reflection of your celebrant, so I take it personally.

Photo of me (looking ready to pop in late 2022) from my talented pal from Karly and Hugh’s big day at . Cannot wait to post more about their big day so very soon!

Rachel: I promise to love you when you don’t do the dishes and if after a couple of beers you snore really loud.

Michael: I promise to always make sure there’s a V in the fridge for you, just as you have made sure there is beer for me.

SO after four years of countless laughs, two amazing little boys, a few tantrums, and a whole lot of winging it, these two gorgeous humans were married. This was a ceremony that most certainly wasn’t winged. There was time for chippies and cuddles with the kids, carefully selected songs for the arrival of the bride, epic vows, BUT most importantly, Rachel and Michael strolled down that aisle knowing in their hearts, they have chosen to spend the rest of their life by their best friend’s side.
