I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many tears shed in a ceremony before. Happy tears, proud tears, love filled tears. You name it, we cried about it. But in the best possible way.

From the moment I met Eddie and Marie I could see their easy comfort with one another, they knew exactly how their day would play out and it was so special to be a part of. They love nothing more than a Friday pub lunch and beer, a camping trip with the kids (or without 😉) or just pottering and renovating their little home.

From the beautiful artwork that Marie (the botanist) created by scratch to hang behind them, to having their blended family involved, to vows that were sweet, simple and hilarious all wrapped up into one. They made their ceremony and their day “theirs.” And I was the lucky one to have been selected for the ride.

I think these lines from Taylor’s vows perfectly summarise the pure magic that was the reason behind their wedding day.

“Despite an ocean between us and a number of reasons for us to have never met, moving to Vancouver was the best thing that ever happened to me, because it brought me to you. I found my home in you.”

There is no doubt that Taylor and Jamie have found their home in each other. Their love, their dedication, their raw emotion for one another made this ceremony one for the history books. Honoured to have been involved and I walked away truly on cloud nine.

🌟 Marrying Until May 🌟

Back by popular demand (haha)… but really. I will now be marrying beautiful couples until May 2026 🩷

My worst kept secret for my “pause” in 2026 is that I am returning to study, I am off to study a Graduate Diploma of Education. BUT, I have received some clarity around the work load and it does mean I still have some room for love in the diary.

There will be some streamlined processes to help me with the balance, but the heart of what I do will remain the exact same.

I know I have turned away so many couples keen to lock me in during this period, but I hope they understand that I wasn’t able to commit without certainty.

So vendor pals, if you hear of someone looking for a celebrant please spread the word far and wide for me please 🙏 AND couples, if you are still searching for a celebrant between now and May 2026, I’d love to hear from you. 😉

❤️5 YEARS OF CELEBRATIONS WITH HOLLY! ❤️

Here is a throw back to my OG branding shoot where I launched petals in the air and held a microphone with no chord connected to it. The wrinkles were a little less and the greys didn’t need hiding. 🤣

Wow, so much has changed in 5 years. I’ve welcomed two beautiful baby boys into my life, moved house, I’ve married over 170 couples, I have evolved and shaped my style to be the ultimate story teller and I’ve worked hard on deciding how I see celebrancy fitting into my future. Although 2026 and beyond will be a hugely scaled back approach to celebrancy, I can’t see it being something I ever give up for good. I love it too much.

So, looking back on the past 5 years, my biggest take away is the human element of this role. I’ve had over 340 individuals trust me to make their marriage legal, but most importantly to share their beautiful story (whether big or small) and I don’t for a second take this for granted. I get to stand beside my couples on one of the biggest days of their life and that honour is definitely not lost on me. Meeting so many unique and wonderful human beings has been something special.

So as always, my thanks goes to those who trusted me to bring their love story to life, you’ve truly made this an unforgettable 5 years.

Olivia and Kent may have cancelled their first date (once each to meet up with other people 🤣🤣🤣) but it was third time lucky for them, and oh, are they so lucky. They had the most wonderful wedding party supporting them the whole way and just such a warm energy from their beautiful guests. I put it down to the two amazing humans that they are. 🖤🤍

For them,it’s all about the quiet moments, trips down south, with Winnie in tow, morning coffees with a stroll. It’s knowing when your partner might need a hug, a snack or just 5 mins of silence. Thank you for sharing with me just a glimpse into your perfect little love story .rice &

Their love story began in the thriving metropolis of Townsville, before none other than a groove in the moo festival. They met at Bridesmaid Tayla’s house and although they both were told “don’t you dare” their chemistry was unavoidable and a few years down the line, they “surprised” nobody when they started dating.

is a huge Swifty fan and she even managed to have me listening to the new album as dropped it the same day as their nuptials. was texting me across his fave tune from the album so we could have it included in his effortlessly funny vows.

I was sad to wrap this one up as it meant I had to farewell a beautiful set of 3x teachers from the same school who all hired me to officiate their wedding (someone joked saying they must have my business card up on the school pinup board.) Thanks and & Jess for allowing me to marry three of the most beautiful souls. It’s not farewell though, it’s just see you around. I pinky promise 😉

I walked away from this ceremony knowing that we had created pure magic ✨

Chloe and Tom managed to snag the perfect weather for their absolutely perfect wedding day. I adored sharing their love story that was 6 years in the making (to the very day) from Chloe popping up like a Pokémon in the wild when first meeting Tom, to Tom’s upper lip caterpillar. It was a special moment filled with tears, laughter, some beautiful readings and just a whole lot of pure and authentic love.

This wedding was one for the history books. Take me back 😭

Katie and Nick make the ultimate team, especially when it comes to raising their little gals. Theirs is a team that loves nothing more than a night on the couch with a true crime doco and a side of uber eats. A team that prioritises family time, dinner accompanied by some dancing but most importantly a team that loves to rock out to Korn, Limp Bizkit and Metallica. 🤟🏼 🎸 🎶
