Living in the moment and not sweating the small stuff..the motto that Fiona and Michael live by and one that they led their day with, even if their day brought the spicy Perth heat.

These two were absolute perfection, trusted their vendors (an absolute line up!) and lent into all the feels. A ceremony I will hold close to my heart and theirs…

Three weddings down for January 2024 and boy did they hit home. Each time those final words are spoken at a ceremony, the smiles are on faces, the energy that erupts…my smile is from ear to hear, my heart is full.

What do I hope 2024 brings? More doing what YOU want to do for your wedding day, more throwing out of the rule book (except the legal elements of course), more challenging the status quo, more grounded feet, more non-toxic beauty expectations, more making time for connections, more surrendering yourself to the moment…

My darlings Jade and Jeff - the honour of marrying your long time friend to her forever is not lost on me. I am still on cloud nine after I had the pleasure the bring together and curate the ceremony for these two iconic humans.

Knowing Jade since I was 15 years old, seeing her grow into the most beautiful, talented woman and having front row seats to the Jade and Jeff love story…marrying them was the cherry on top. These two love hard, like really hard…not just each other but everyone in their orbit.

From the a team behind the day, the location ( also iconic), guests vibing upon arriving to champers and strings (cheers to you )…we buckled in for the ‘quirk and twerk’ wedding of Jade and Jeff.

Love has this incredible ability to make our hearts dance with joy. From stolen glances to whispered words of affection, those moments of love have a way of making our hearts skip a beat. They remind us of the beauty of connection and the magic of true emotions.

These moments of love can come when we least expect them, stealing our breath and leaving us in awe. It's in those magical moments that we realise the true power of love and its ability to bring joy, happiness, and excitement into our lives.

My legal first name is Alexandra, but have been called Ali since I was 3.
I have exam quals in Piano but now can only play chopsticks.
Karijini is one of my favourite places I have explored.
I’d pick snow skiing over boarding any day.
I met my other half when he crashed my birthday party YEARS ago.
I have been raised by incredible parents. Dad is a boat loving tradie. Mum is music obsessed with the ultimate green thumb.
Middle of two brothers - you can say the childhood was wild.
My love language is 4 of the 5…high maintenance much?!

I am in awe of these two humans, Jess and Sam. Two individuals who are quite possibly the most warm, real and trusting souls. They also have created an incredible human, their little girl. It was beyond an honour to marry these two in a surprise ceremony in front of their nearest and dearest. When I say your day your way, there are no rules (except the legal ones of course), do what makes you happy..THIS IS IT, all wrapped up in a custom tulle bow.

Gen and Lawson did everything their way, and this is just the beginning…

Got ready together, shared personal vows privately the morning of, had an intimate family only ceremony held by my longtime friend and Gen’s sis in law, a little legals added on to make it official by moi, involved their four legged love Noodle, cruised in Lawson’s stunner car, rolled through to the best celebration surrounded by great company of family and friends, amazing food, insane beats and damn good times...oh and may I add surrounded themselves with a line up of some of THE best wedding industry favs.

If .georgiab’s NJI (Noronha Joy Index) wedding measurement system is anything to go by, I would say this one is high up there.

And just like that…another season is back in full swing to fill our hearts. The down (or as they say ‘off’) season has allowed me time to reset and re-fuel ahead of an epic season. Never have I been more grateful to spend time with my family (especially in when others can’t or when others family members stripped away from them). If this off season and start to the new season has taught me anything..it is how truly fortunate I am to bask in the moments of culture, connection and celebration.

Already quite a few weddings into this fresh season, I am always finding myself in awe of those magical ceremony moments. Never taking for granted how truly insanely special it is to be a celebrant.

Just like this moment after Jepina and Alex made it official in front of their gorgeous family and friends, taking a stroll down the road from the very place they had their first date.

To spend just a few moments with Laura and Josh is to feel their love for each other and their two gorgeous kiddos radiate outwards. Their connection hits you with a thud, just like their first meeting between them almost 10 years ago right in the heart of Fremantle.

So, what better place to seal their forever ‘I do’s’ then at back in the suburb they met all those years ago. Adorned in all black, their guests were treated to a delight. A ceremony filled with emotion and laughter, and boy oh boy did their guests lean into every moment…creating an atmosphere reflective of The Black’s. I have never felt so passionate about one thing...doing your wedding, your way.
Your day is about the two of you. It is the celebration of your love, bringing those who you hold close to your heart to celebrate your hearts becoming one.

I always guide my couples to try and remove the flow of trends, the fuzz of family expectations, think outside of the box, challenge the status quo and do what they want to do, with a repeated reminder…never include something in your day, just because it has been done before. Do it because YOU both want to, and I bet you will never be able to wipe the smile off your faces.

My second season has come to a close…and what a season it was. I wake everyday in awe that I am trusted with so many love stories, amazing humans who choose me as their celebrant.

I am lucky that each and every one of you has chosen me to bring your ceremony to life, and all those that are to come. How truly magical it is to be play a part in your celebration of love. As the warmth starts to hit in the months to come, when Spring arrives on our doorstep, another season will begin…and bring it on.I cannot wait to do it all over again.

i don't do stand up.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE comedy shows but I can guarantee you that your ceremony with me won’t be one. Stay with me here…you see my ceremony style certainly includes humour where needed, BUT my style of humour is light hearted love humour - not to dress you down like it's your 21st birthday speech.

There will be some light hearted giggles, some belly laughter, tears and so much more…but no Dad jokes, those I leave to my husband for other social situations.

surprise squad.
We had a team. Cleo, Dan, her immediate family members, Cleo’s dad Giles and myself…together we represented the ‘Surprise Squad.’ Our task was to pull of the difficult task of turning Cleo and Dan’s engagement party into a surprise wedding…and boy did we bring on the surprise. Tears, cheers and laughter filled City of Perth Surf Life Saving Club…but most of all love. Love flowed through every word spoken and every hug had for these two adoring humans, Cleo and Dan. I have had the honour of working with Cleo and now call her a friend.

Cleo said, “Knowing how you operate as a professional, I knew I could trust you to help pull a surprise wedding off - but the extras were what made it so, so special and memorable. The love and support that Dan and I felt, and the fun that we had throughout this whole process was unmatched - you just got us as a couple from the start, and matched the crowd's energy on the night so seamlessly - a true talent!”

inner circle.

Two rays of sunshine…Eliza and Sam. Marrying Eliza and Sam in their backyard of their own home, among their phenomenal family and friends was truly breathtaking. A ceremony filled with so, SO much love - it warmed my heart. A day that they will hold close to their hearts and I will to mine.

Sam said something about marriage to me that is incredibly true, “Marriage is so rare that the circle of your life intersects with someone for a protracted period of your life beyond family and close friends. Marriage is that rare connection of lives that brings someone in that will be in your circle forever and brings all the other connections with them.”

ocean eyes.

I'll set the scene…it was pouring with rain, yep…absolutely bucketing down just a few days before and the morning of an April Saturday. Then…midday struck and the sun came out JUST in time for Claire and Duff’s day, and what a day it was.

Overlooking the ocean, these two locked eyes and said their ‘I do’s’ in front of their favourite people - rain free! Claire and Duff…two absolute go getters, party starters, smiley humans, two individuals whose love for each other radiates outwards. Definition of the way to embrace your day and each other.

close to my heart.

The start of 2023 was an extra special one for me…not only did I get to find a new rhythm as a family of four and bask in some sensational summer moments with friends but...I was able to kick off my 2023 weddings when I hitched my very close cousin and her love.

I jumped on a plane with my numero uno (better, supportive, loving half) and our little (then) 5 week old baby girl to celebrate a wedding INCREDIBLY close to my heart. It sure was something special to marry Mel and Ed. Two no-fuss, warm souls, golf and dog obsessed duo that I am lucky enough to call family.

What a trip it was! From Perth > Sydney > Newcastle > Hunter Valley > Sydney > Perth...I would do it over again and again just to relive the smiles that were had on that day.
