Another friendship gained after working with this lovely lady on her 40th celebrations! 💕

I think this has got to be one of my FAVOURITE photos ever! ❤️

One of the reasons I love my job so much is because I get to choose the people I get to work with! ❤️

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗔 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 💁🏼‍♀️

I always suggest meeting for a coffee, a bubbles, a cocktail - whatever tickles your fancy to get to know each other and to make sure we are the right fit for each other 🥂

For me, it is not about the money or the amount of clients I can cram into my diary, it’s about the quality of work and quality of time I can provide to the people who choose to invest in me and my services! 🙏🏻 🥰

Following this, I do up all of the paperwork relating to the package the clients have chosen, or customise a quote if it falls outside of the scope of what my packages cover. Once this quote has been approved within the 7 days I will send through a 25% non refundable deposit invoice along with a booking form and terms & conditions for the client to complete.

Once I have received all of this back, this means everything is locked and loaded 😍
I will then provide the client with a break down of the timeline we will be working to and we will get cracking with all of the exciting things ahead! 😍

I would absolutely love to hear from you if you are looking for an on-day coordinator to pull everything together for you, or a wedding planner because you simply don’t have the time to do it yourself.

One of my favourite parts of the reception is the speeches! 🎤

Jenny and Joe had so many beautiful words spoken about them on the night. They were even lucky enough to have one of the guests write a hilarious poem for them!

A couple of tips I always share with my couples around speeches are:

1. Ensure you break them up on your timeline. No one enjoys sitting down at the table for a solid hour listening to speeches. FACT!

2. Make sure you allocate a timeframe to the guests doing the speeches - typically 5 minutes is a great time to allocate to them.

3. Choose your speech givers wisely. It’s a wedding not a 18th or 21st. It’s meant to be a time to share meaningful stories about you and/or your relationship. None of your guests want to listen to a bunch of drunken stories. Nor do they want to listen to every childhood milestone you reached 🤭

4. Be present when the speeches are taking place. Listen. Reflect. Engage.

5. Ensure you request that there is a ‘no service’ period from the venues perspective. This allows the guests to focus on this special part of the day for you both.

During the ceremony, the vows just get me every time! 🥹

I think it is the most beautiful thing to listen to when my couples write their own vows… 💕

In my opinion, I always feel like it makes it so much more meaningful and so sentimental when they are personalised ❤️

I’ve had so many of my couples do this recently and my goodness I’m always in the background welling up or sobbing because they are just so darn beautiful! 🥹

If you feel comfortable enough, I would highly encourage you to make them your own and make sure they are personal to you and a true representation of who you are as a couple ❤️

There are so many wonderful celebrants out there who offer their expertise in this space, so make sure you take them up on the help that they offer ☺️

It never feels like work 🖤

I never ever get home from a clients wedding and think ‘thank god that shift is over’ if anything it’s the polar opposite… 🙏🏻

It’s generally a mixed bag of emotions consisting of happiness, pride, sadness because it’s over, a sense of accomplishment, but most of all it’s a feeling that really does warm me up inside 🖤

Whenever I tell people I am a wedding planner the first thing they say without doubt is ‘wow that must be a stressful job’? My response is always ‘it is stressful, of course, however it is the most rewarding job when it all comes together and I get to see the reactions on the faces of the couples I work with’. 🖤

It’s priceless. It’s forever embedded in my memory. And it is such a lovely feeling knowing that I have truly made a difference to that couples lives ❤️

I cannot STRESS it enough the importance of a room reveal 😍

✔️ It gives you the viewing exclusivity you deserve after all of those months of planning!

✔️ You get to really admire all of the small intricate details before your guests enter

✔️ You get to spend that quality time with your other half to spend some time together to admire your reception!

✔️ You are able to have some stunning photos taken within the space before all of your guests enter and the chaos begins!

✔️ If you wait to see this until after your guests have entered the room, you will not be able to see it in it’s prime state! Things get moved to accommodate bags, extra glassware etc etc.

✔️ HOT TIP: schedule it with your planner so that you allow time do do a room reveal 😘 you will thank me later!

Bridal glassware 🥂

My couple were more than happy to use the glassware that was included in their package for the wedding 🙌🏻

However, as a point of difference because they were sitting amongst their guests, I suggested that we hire some black smoke ombré glassware from Hire Society | Event Hire] to give their bridal party place settings at the table a bit of a pop! ✨

It really did make a statement 🖤
