There are so many things I love about this photo, I don’t quite know where to start! The stunning leg slit in Em’s dress, her knowing exactly how to stand to showcase said leg slit, the gorgeous floral bridesmaid dresses, and the fact we had a beach wedding without any crazy hair-in-face or sand-in-mouth moments! Mr & Mrs Davies, your day was perfection. 🤍🩵

Quietly making our way to the Ritz-Carlton, with just a couple of witnesses in our company, Sharen & Steve were married over a bottle of bubbles (or two, or three) at the rooftop bar. When I stepped into Kamalpreet and Garry’s home, ready to perform just the bare minimum legal wording and marriage paperwork, I was met with the most beautiful arbour, gorgeous self-styled florals, and a delicious Indian buffet on the dining table. All of this for just them, their two witness, and to my delight - me! I like to call it, “Legals only with all the bells and whistles.” 🔔😗

We all know the phrase, “tying the knot”. But why do we say that when a couple is getting married? It all comes down to the ancient Celtic ritual of handfasting. Tying the hands together with a cord or ribbon to represent two entities becoming one union.🎗️

Some modern day wedding ceremonies include handfasting, including Siobhan & Strider’s! It was extra special using their own handmade cord. 💚🩵🩶

Apple and Casey knew they wanted to marry, but weren’t sure when, or where, or how! So we began the paperwork process with no formal plans in place. They settled on a package at Old Tower House which actually included an in-house Celebrant, but luckily for me, I was retained! And so Mr & Mrs W were hitched in a sweet and simple, personalised ceremony with a score of loved ones watching on. 💕

And a thank you shoutout to my former couple, Karla & Michael for referring Apple & Casey to me! ✨

Double the festivities, as it also happened to be the groom’s birthday! This love story has taken Kim and John on quite the journey, from drinking buddies at softball carnivals and a period of “friend zoning”, to finally accepting their undeniable connection. 💕

My favourite part of this tale? During a romantic date to Elizabeth Quay, John asked Kim to hold his jacket while he went to the toilet. No biggie… apart from the fact there was a big ol’ box in the pocket, holding the stunning engagement ring he was about to propose with! 🤣
