WHY I BECAME A CELEBRANT!

I dusted off that old laptop and signed up for my celebrancy course because I wanted a job that offered me flexibility in my working hours. I wanted to be a present parent to my children and be my own boss. I wanted out of my terrible part-time job and to work from home. I wanted to use my degree that I spent four years getting, then decided to move to a country town to never speak of it again.

Did I get that? You bet, but I got SO SO MUCH MORE!

I meet people from all walks of life, I celebrate and cheer at one of the most exciting times in peoples lives, I cry at heartfelt and overwhelming moments, I write the most amazing love stories and get the privilege of sharing them, I get to experience being part of that love story even if it is for just a little bit and I get to laugh and smile and bask in the happiness that every one of my couples feel when they join themselves together for life. This job fills my cup. It gives me a sense of purpose and passion I have sorely been lacking.

I will always be so grateful that I got put on this path. This is a long celebrancy road for me, and I'm not looking back 🥰

FINDING YOUR FOREVER PERSON

The way looked at .trichardt during their wedding day gave me all the warm fuzzies! And her love for him showed through in the most sweetest moments.

I'm a true believer in that the right people will always find their way to each other. Carel and Jess were made to find each other.

These two are the perfect match, and being part of their day was so special. I'm grateful they picked me to officially call them husband and wife for the first time.

This ceremony was full of all the laughs and a whole lotta love. Marlene and Darryn were so relaxed on their day and just wrapped up in their love bubble. It was such a joy to behold. I don't think anyone was more excited than Marlene's mum!

WHAT IS THE DONLIM?

Here is Danni and I signing her DONLIM in the carpark before she did her first look with her future hubby, Matt.

Now, what is the DONLIM you may ask? Well, its full name is Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage. It's one of the legal documents you and your partner must sign before we can proceed with your wedding ceremony.

In a nutshell, it's to verify that you aren't in a prohibited relationship, over the age of 18, and not married to anyone else.

This is signed closer to the ceremony than your NOIM, usually at the rehearsal, or when I come to say hi on the day, we quickly sign it together if we haven't already.

I've signed them in cars, in car parks, on people's backs, you name it! It's a form that takes two seconds, and then we are ready to rumble to get you both officially hitched!

It was gorgeous afternoon, celebrating Adam and Amy's love.

Arriving in some superb vintage limousines from with lots of sunflowers, little feet, and one bosterious pupper 🐕 it was a day to remember 💛

Adam and Amy decided to do their signing after the ceremony, and we managed to get the most beautiful intimate spot. Thanks to for capturing the best light for this and all the special moments of the day.
