Last week, we celebrated the world's favorite beverage for International Tea Day!
We organised a tea party for the Faculty of Engineering and IT at The University of Melbourne with a beautiful spread of teas from around the world, accompanied by delicious macarons, cakes and pastries. Attendees got to show off their creative side by making their own Keep Cups to continue the tea appreciation at home. Melbourne may be a coffee city, but we created more than a few tea converts after this event ☕
The Meetings & Events Australia Evolve Conference is back this year in the Hunter Valley!
Sadly Reggie will be too busy behind the scenes to take the stage this year, but we'll have plenty of exciting PD sessions throughout the weekend to keep you engaged.
The sessions will include industry boss Bea Tomlin from Beaspoke Safety, Craig Rispin on the magic and power of the world of AI, and Ian Withworth from Scene Change, speaking about the current state of the events industry.

Meetings & Events Australia’s (MEA’s) upcoming annual conference, Evolve 2024 is back in the NSW Hunter Valley for a long awaited a return of the national events industry. Our conference and Awards Dinner host venue over 12 and 13 June will be Rydges Resort Hunter Valley.
Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the 2024 AFL Lunch hosted by The 500 Supporters' Group. This annual AFL lunch is held at the MCG each year to raise money for the Ruben Centre, a non-profit that provides healthcare, education and social support in Nairobi, Kenya.
We were graciously invited by Delaware North Australia to check out the event spaces available at the MCG and how they can be activated for an event of this size. The venue can truly accommodate any type of event, and we can't wait to bring our clients here!
Meet Kristy!
If you've had the pleasure of working with Kristy, you know how instrumental she is to everything we do at VEE. Kristy has been with us for the past 3 years as an Event Producer and has recently taken on responsibilities managing our VEE team. Clients praise her can-do attitude, problem-solving skills, and how easy she is to work with, and we couldn't agree more! We're so lucky to have Kristy as part of our VEE family, and we'd be lost without her.
Kristy recently joined the MEA Victoria board and will be helping oversee MEA events in Victoria in this new role. She was instrumental in planning the MEA State Awards Night in Victoria, and we can't wait to see where she goes from here. Thanks, Kristy! 💕
Some great coverage of the 3 Peaks Challenge last week! So proud to have raised over $150,000 for charities Whitelion and Kids First Australia.
A huge congrats to everyone who completed the Whitelion Three Peaks Challenge last weekend! ✨
90 determined hikers took on the challenge of hiking 3 peaks in 3 days across 3 different states to raise money for Whitelion & Kids First Australia, non-profits that support young people across Australia. Participants hiked 40km in total, including Mt Kosciuszko, the tallest mountain in mainland Australia. The event celebrated its 20th anniversary this year and helped raise over $158,000 for the charity, thanks to the hard work of all the hikers and Whitelion & Kids First staff who participated. We had so much fun organising this event for the third year in a row, and we're so proud of everything this group accomplished!

We're so excited to announce that we won three state awards at the MEA Victoria awards night!
We were selected by Meetings & Events Australia as the state winner for Special Event of the Year, Major Event or Festival of the Year, and Corporate Event of the Year for two of our events in 2023, Melbourne River Riffs and SHEIN x Klarna Styletopia. We couldn't be more proud of all we accomplished in 2023 and of the hard work and dedication of our team. We will now be entered into the national awards, which will be announced at Evolve in Hunter Valley this June. Fingers crossed!

VEE's Director Reggie has been hard at working bringing VEE and BetterCast overseas!
Reggie was in Austin for SXSW last month and is back in Las Vegas for Event Marketer's Experiential Marketing Summit. Meeting with both VEE and BetterCast clients based in the U.S., Reggie is doing what she loves most: meeting new people and making connections! And of course, having a bit of fun. We're looking forward to her fresh ideas and inspiration when she returns to Melb next week!
Last week we hosted a First Nations Craft Workshop for the Faculty of Information Technology at The University of Melbourne!
Guests learned Bushtukka & Weaving techniques from our talented workshop leaders at Craft Victoria and enjoyed delicious food and drinks from indigenous-owned caterer Mabu Mabu.
We love when clients give us the opportunity to learn and be a part of unique cultural experiences, and we had such a great time organising this workshop. Stay tuned for more events with University of Melbourne later this year!

The University of Melbourne takes on the grand prix! 🏆
We had so much fun organising a grand prix celebration for the faculty of engineering and information technology at University of Melbourne last week. With racing simulators, interactive games and plenty of themed food and drinks, we took the grand prix off the track and onto campus.
We put together a list of sustainable event suppliers and venues in Melbourne with tips on how to reduce the environmental impact of your event. We're proud to have a strong network of suppliers and vendors like Greenfields Albert Park to help us meet our sustainability goals and reduce our carbon footprint. Meet Eric!
Eric Kiama is a part of our Bettercast team, VEE Agency's virtual event management and streaming platform. Eric has been an integral part of the team, spearheading the creation of events on behalf of clients. In this role, he meticulously plans and builds events, offering unwavering support throughout every stage of the process.
Eric is from Nyeri County, Kenya, and currently calls Nairobi City his home. Outside of work, he enjoys keeping fit through regular exercise, unwinding with movies, and indulging his passion for cars. His greatest joy lies in being a father to two energetic boys, whom he deeply adores and cherishes above all else.
We're so grateful to have Eric as part of the Bettercast team! His hard work, dedication and positive attitude do not go unnoticed, and our clients couldn't agree more. Thanks, Eric!

ICONS is a beautiful display of over 100 large-format photographs of Steve McCurry’s most iconic images, including the legendary 1984 portrait of the Afghan Girl, Sharbat Gula, which was famously featured on the cover of National Geographic magazine.

We took a trip to the former Pentridge Prison, recently converted into a gorgeous event venue. Pentridge features 12 different event spaces, including a wine cellar in Ned Kelly's old cell. Thanks to the team for showing us around! We can't wait to use this space for an event sometime soon.

We had the pleasure of organising a few events for Flanders Investment and Trade as part of Belgium's most recent economic mission to Australia. Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, along with a ministerial delegation representing the country, visited the All-Energy Australia and Waste exhibition in Melbourne and attended several seminars in Sydney. We are honoured to have played a part in this mission and helped showcase the leadership and expertise of Belgium companies in the energy transition and waste management space.
