Thatβs exactly how I feel every time I dine in at MiMada! Thank you for spoiling me with your delicious food! ππ€
This is OUR STORY β¦.
MiMada means "spoiled" in Spanish. We believe it is important to spoil ourselves with our cravings and indulge in our MiMada! On another note, it is also derived from our name, MI from Mimi, MA from Irma, and DA from ensaymada or empanada.
MiMada started during the pandemic lockdown in 2020 in Adelaide. Along with the rest of the world, we got bored at home so we started baking and shared our baked goods with our friends. And to our delight, they loved it! We started posting our treats on social media and the interest and demand grew. We were inspired by the wonderful feedback from our customers. This motivated us to create more products and offer a bigger variety of ensaymada flavours.
At the start of 2022, we made the decision to move to Perth and ventured into opening a cafe business. We wanted to provide a full dining experience to our guests and customers so we decided to offer hot meals in addition to our baked goods.
Chef Mimi and Irma, both of Filipino origin, worked in deluxe international hotel chains in Darwin & Adelaide for more than 20 years. Chef Mimi brings her passion for creating dishes that are close to her heart and origin.
Our goal is for MiMada to look and feel like an extension of your home, hence the cozy lounge room vibe. With the flavour combinations of each dish prepared by Chef Mimi, we want to introduce you to the wonderful SouthEast Asian dishes.
Enjoy your time at MiMada and from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for supporting our small business.
