Hey legends

Just a little reminder that I’m fast booking out weekends in 2025 and my 2026 books are OPEN!

Do your wedding your own way I say.

Chris & Vicki got married in their backyard in Barwon Heads last weekend under a beautiful tent with their nearest and dearest watching before kicking on into the afternoon in the most delightful sunshine .

They wanted it simple and easy and so that’s what we did. p.s isn’t Vicki’s blue suit heavenly? 💙

There’s always been something special for me about story telling.

I remember a story I wrote in high school so clearly- because I remember how it made me feel when I was writing it. It was as though I found that thing I was meant to do.

I kept a blog when I travelled and retold the stories of my trips. The beautiful interactions. The sideways glances. My friends would tell me it felt like they were right there with me.

And then I’ve worked for decades now in communications roles where I started to master the craft not just in writing the stories but telling them in beautiful and unique ways.

And so when people ask me the bit I love most about being celebrant it’s an easy answer.

It’s the story telling.

I love learning your story. Your little quirks and interactions are so important to me.
I’ve a habit of getting right into the honest, deep, personal and wild parts of your story and finding the guts of your humour.

I then spend way too long writing and rewriting ceremonies. Meshing the story together to get it as perfect as I can.

Truely. The best part of the job.

“I think it’s probably safe to say, they both like to live on the edge a bit too.
For example Gabby loves to leave the petrol tank so low that it’s running on the smell of an oily rag.
But I mean you probably wouldn’t catch Gabby on the roof at Flemington race course at spring carnival would you Lach”

The first wedding of the season and boy was it a gooden. I adored Lachie & Gabby- such kind hearted & fun humans. ❤️

More and more MC requests coming through lately and here’s why:

🎤Your mate Mick who’s a comedian around his mates- might not be so funny in front of a crowd.
🎤He’s not got much of an idea what he’s doing and will likely miss all the important stuff.
🎤He really would rather be joining in with the rest of your mates drinking those beers on your bar tab than trying to keep respectable but he’s too polite.
🎤Or worse- he does join in and things get messy..
🎤 (Oh & I’m not afraid to tell Aunty Pat that her 5 minutes up and it’s time to hand over the mic to the next speaker - politely of course..)

Seriously though- my number one goal as your MC is to make sure everyone is having fun. Number 2 is taking the pressures off your loved ones so they can enjoy the celebration and 3 is that everything runs smooth as a baby’s bum 😜

So many simple, beautiful, little ways to make your wedding a true reflection of you.

Kit & Deano are true blue Disney fans. When I asked them to tell me how they imagined themselves in old age they talked about the epic library they were going to have. I’m not kidding that I did a little squeal of delight when I saw these cute-as enchanted roses stacked up on these old books for table centres.
