Wowsa!! What a finish, very lucky to have my original team members running the FOH tonight, in what was the last event for Magic Mouthfuls Catering. It’s been a banging 10 years, but the time has come to put this baby to bed.
I thank everyone who has been a part of the journey wether you were washing the pans, helping create my totally off the wall theming, to garnishing the plates, you all helped make my dreams a reality. And to my loyal clients, some of whom booked me every year sometimes more than a couple of times, without you I would not have been able to continue that dream! This is not Good Bye, more like, See you later, Thanks for Coming!

This weeks specials have been flying out the door. Fremantle octopus and swordfish were banging. Oyster popcorn on beef tataki, and a cracking beef bourguignon with pumpkin gnocchi and heirloom carrots. Not to forget teaching the apprentice how to make the best house made ricotta!!

I’ve been having an amazing time on the West coast in Scarborough beach WA. This sabbatical has given me some great opportunities to create some cracking new dishes. This has helped inspire me to create our new function menus that will be released at the end of this week, in preparation for coming season. We have also decided to go in a different direction this year and will no longer be operating the kitchen at Hughies wine bar and unfortunately we will not be reopening Kai. From all my team, we thank you for your support over the years it’s been a pleasure!! Watch this space for our next adventure!

Wells that’s a wrap, we finished the year with a small canapés event for a resort Xmas party. Thanks to all our local suppliers for looking after us this year, .v.condamine we couldn’t do it without you. And a special thanks to all the staff who have helped out throughout the year, we have an amazing team! All the best for the New Year. Let’s hope it’s a cracker! 🍻

3am start today making lunch boxes for the 120 strong Ergon team, finished off with a buffet dinner. So good to be able to give these guys a cracking meal after all the work they’ve been doing!!
Thanks to our local suppliers Mossman meat house and Scomazzon fruit and veg making sure we had everything we needed.
