Hello friends, my little picnic assistant Mia and I will be participating in the MS Moonlight Walk on Friday 28th October. We are raising funds for Queenslanders with MS.
Almost two years ago my gorgeous husband was diagnosed with MS, it’s been a hell of a journey. We knew very little about MS, which is often referred to as an “invisible illness” as often the symptoms can be cognitive, severe fatigue & brain fog are just a couple of these invisible symptoms. However mobility issues are also part of this devastating disease.
Multiple Sclerosis, is an auto immune disease where the body attacks the Myelin.
Myelin is a coating on the nerves in our brain and central nervous system , when the myelin is attacked it’s almost like an exposed wire resulting in short circuiting, stopping the signal from the brain reaching its destination. ( how’s that for a scientific explanation!) This results in different symptoms for every individual. Did you know that MS is most commonly diagnosed in women in their thirties? My Instagram feed is full of brave “MS Warrior’s” sharing their stories and lifting each other up 🥰🎗💪 If anyone would like to donate to our walk, I’ll pop the link in my profile.
