There are so many beautiful venues to choose from in the picturesque Hunter Valley, including some of the examples above.
When choosing a Wedding Venue there are a few things to consider:
1. How much you are wanting to spend on your venue
2. How many people you expect to attend, and
3. Desired inclusions such as:
- is there food and beverages on site?
- what fixtures are available for use (chairs, tables, cutlery, crockery, glassware) or do we need to hire stuff in?
- if the ceremony and reception can be held at the same venue?
- are pets allowed?
- does the venue come with a coordinator to help on the day?
- does the venue offer a preparation suite?
These are just a few examples of desired inclusions for couples. Everyone's desires are going to look different, so take the time to sit down with your partner and Wedding Planner to outline a clear vision for what you want for your Wedding.
For assistance when choosing your Wedding Venue, I have some great resources available as part of my packages, including a detailed questionnaire to take to your Venues to choice to help with the decision-making process.

Before you start booking all your Vendors for your Wedding, the first thing you want to do is look at your budget.
Take some time to sit down with your partner to discuss what you’d be happy with spending on a Wedding, how much lei-way you have around that number, and what are your non-negotiable items are for your wedding, i.e. all-inclusive venue, photographer/ videographer, horse drawn carriage... whatever it may be for you!
From there, write down all the vendors/ items you'd like to have at your wedding, and rank them from most important to least important. Keep in mind that your Venue, and Catering are going to take up the bulk of your Wedding budget.
Next, RESEARCH!
Look at all the different vendors in your area. Compare their prices, package inclusions (what you're actually getting for what you're paying), and their style (does it match your vision for your wedding).
Using a Spreadsheet to keep track of all of your information is a great way to keep it all together, or there are some great Wedding Planning Tools out there to keep all of your information in the one place, and track how much you are ACTUALLY spending on your Wedding.
While historically, Parents of the couple have helped out financially, that is not always the reality for many couples in this present day and age
Many like to have full control over what is spent on THEIR Wedding and will save up accordingly.
A cute little thing you could do when you start dating your special someone, is to set up an account (joint if this feels good to you) that you put a pre-determined amount of funds into each week. Over the years, this will grow and allow for some peace of mind when it comes to paying for the Wedding of your dreams!
If you're looking for some support when it comes to planning your budget for your wedding, I would love to hear from you. Send me a message, or comment 'BUDGET' if you'd like some support.
Enjoy your Wedding Planning Journey!

One of the biggest things I hear from Brides when it comes to planning their Wedding, is that they want support, but don't always know where or how to ask for it.
They're not looking for someone to tell them HOW to plan THEIR Wedding, rather an ear to bounce ideas off and help in any way possible to bring THEIR VISION to life.
As a Wedding Planner, I act as your biggest cheerleader, encouraging YOUR ideas for your special day and working with you to bring YOUR vision into reality.
I am NOT here to tell you how to plan YOUR Wedding.
I am NOT here to push my idea's on to you.
I am NOT here to make decisions on your behalf.
I AM here to listen to YOUR ideas and vision for your special day.
I AM here to offer advice and support that is in line with your vision.
I AM here to implement YOUR decisions and bring your vision into reality.
If you're looking for support on your Wedding planning Journey or just need someone to talk to, feel free to shoot me a message.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Much love,
Bronte x
