Did you know that anyone over the age of 18 can sign as your witness?! 🖊️

So often my couples assume that this job is automatically assigned to their Best Man & Maid of Honour, but it certainly does not need to be that way!

In fact, choosing two people who are not in your wedding party, can be a great way to honour and include other special people in your day.

I personally think it’s the sweetest thing when people use their Mum’s or Grandma’s. 🌸

The date that I became registered as a Celebrant, and Married by Megan was officially born! 👏🏼

I have now married just shy of 300 beautiful people, and to each and every one of you I say THANK YOU! 🩷

Beautiful love story alert 🚨

Krissy and Jamies story first began when an almost 16-year-old Krissy and her family moved into the house next door to Jamie’s.

Krissy recalls seeing Jamie for the first time and thinking that he was the cutest boy she had ever seen. The attraction was mutual, and they very quickly fell in love.

They were each other’s first in every way and were together from the ages of 16 to 18. Unfortunately, life took them in different directions, and they were forced to go their separate ways.

Fast forward 33 years, and Krissy decided to head back to her old stomping ground for a walk down memory lane.

Krissy found herself wondering past the barber shop where Jamie had done his apprenticeship, and much to Krissy’s surprise, he was still working there!

Jamie spotted Krissy and stepped outside. Krissy couldn’t move, couldn’t breathe- it was as though her heart had stopped completely.

Krissy admits that she never stopped loving Jamie and had thought of him every day since they parted.

They picked up exactly where they had left off and it was my absolute pleasure to unite these two as husband and wife! 🥰

TIPS FOR THE PERFECT KISS 😘

💥Practice in advance— especially if you’re planning on doing “the dip”.

💥Keep it family friendly— it’s probably best to leave the real smoochy kisses for the honeymoon.

💥Hold your kiss for at least 4 seconds— a quick 2 second peck is not enough time for your photographer to get the shot.

💥Close your eyes— I don’t really need to elaborate on this one, right?!

💥Do something with your hands— pull your partner in for a cuddle, cup their face, hold hands, go in for a cheeky butt squeeze, just keep ‘‘em busy.

💥Most importantly, whatever you do, try and be as natural as possible… well, as natural as you can be locking lips in front of everyone you know.
