NEW TO PLAY CON 2026! 🆕

On Thursday the 2nd of July, Matthew Dunstan from Postmark Games and Phil Walker-Harding in conjunction with Play Con and Designer Alley, will be running a board game designer day. 🤟

This is a dedicated full day event for designers to learn, network, create, collaborate and develop their design skills. The day will feature workshops and events run by leading industry professionals from Australia and abroad. We are pleased to also have special guests attending, including Andrew Bosley, Shem Philips from Garphill Games, and Cole Wehrle from Wehrlegig Games. 🎲

This is separate to the Designer Alley application process and the day is not restricted to successful applicants of Designer Alley. It's open to all board game designers – both published and aspiring! 🤞

Can you guess who did the artwork for our Play Con 2026 charity shirt? 🤔

We are thrilled to not only have Andrew Bosley attend Play Con, but also design this year's tee! 👏

As per usual, all proceeds from this shirt will be going to a charity nominated by the artist. Andrew has nominated The Water Project, a charity that provides access to clean, safe and reliable water and sanitation solutions across sub-Saharan Africa. 💧

This shirt is for PRE-ORDER only and must be collected from the event. 👕

Can someone attending collect a shirt on your behalf? Yep! So even if you can't attend, you can still have this limited edition shirt and support a wonderful cause. ❤️

Big news! We're pulling out the big guns! 💪

We are thrilled to announce our special guests attending Play Con 2026. Our international guests will be attending for the entire event, participating in panels, Designer Alley and workshops. They are:

🫶Andrew Bosley is a renowned board game illustrator. He is best known for the gorgeous artwork in board games such as Everdell, Unconscious Mind, Tapestry, Citadels, Skyrise and many more!

🫶 Shem Phillips is a critically acclaimed board game designer from Garphill Games He is best known for his involvement in designing the medieval trilogies such as North Sea, West Kingdom, South Tigris & East Empire) and Ancient Anthology series.

🫶 Cole Wehrle is an award winning board game designer from Wehrlegig Games. Cole is best known for designing Pax Pamir and John Company, and also for his work with Leder Games with titles such as Root, Oath and Arcs.
