ποΈThe postcard I was referring to is on @thediaryofaceopodcast and it was the episode with Dr Vonda Write (the healthy aging doctor). Highly recommend.
πOur mini health courses talk all about this kind of stuff for those wanting to understand the actual science of exercise, in an easy to digest way.
πAlways remember, some movement is better than no movement!!
Thought this was a good one to follow on from my post yesterday featuring my parents. My experience with the film industry was different to theirs (obviously) and ultimately led me down a different path.
I haven't said goodbye to it, but it has felt amazing building this business, we're so proud of it, and being able to support our family from it is so rewarding.
I didn't answer the second part of that question... yes, this is a joint venture. Scott and I are co-owners of the Good Farm Shop and we both work solidly in it.
The stats I read out in this post are from a really good episode of @thediaryofaceopodcast the specific ep featured @profgalloway and I highly recommend listening to it.
I hope this was interesting, thank you for the question! πππ»
In the Q and A the other day a fair few people wanted to know what it was like growing up with famous parents.
You'll probably be surprised to know it was actually pretty normal. I'd put this down to how they raised us. My parents have always been incredibly down to earth and aside from them travelling a lot for work, their jobs didn't seem any different from any one else's. At a certain point I started to understand that they dressed up as different characters for work and being on set with them was incredibly fun (and at times very spoiling). But it wasn't until I was in year 7 I even knew that they were famous. Someone said to me in the playground "my mum said your parents are famous!" And I was like "are they?" π§
But they never ever flaunted their fame, and as kids we constantly heard the sentences like "money doesn't grow on trees" and "waste not want not". We were exposed to some unique experiences due to the nature of their work, and were fortunate enough to travel with them to some pretty amazing places and meet people from all walks of life. But, the thing I can honestly say I remember most about my childhood was the laughter, the fun, the love, and the boundaries! Times that stick out are the times we all spent together at the farm with our cousins, doing things kids love, like playing kick the can, riding around in the Ute, and swimming in the dam.
Yes, we were comfortable, but never spoilt. My dad was raised by a single mum in commission housing so I don't think we were ever going to get away with being handed everything on a silver platter. We all had jobs at 16 and were made to work for our pocket money.
I think people have this illusion that fame gives people a life others can only dream of, but I think in the wrong hands it can ruin people's lives. My parents did an amazing job at giving us a colourful life, filled with love, laughter and instilled some pretty strong values in all of us. And that's what made my childhood and upbringing spec
