Zest Waterfront Venue (Point Piper) is located in the Royal Motor Yacht Club.

➡️ Beautiful panoramic views of the beachside and Rose Bay harbour from both Commodore Room (upstairs) and Pacific Room (downstairs).

➡️Commodore Room with floor-to-ceiling windows to give a natural backdrop, along with fireplace and nautical-feel bookshelves. Can hold 60 seated guests with dancefloor, but also great room option as canapes-cocktail hour before guests can go downstairs to Pacific Room.

📖 STORYTIME: our journey with Emily and Yao 📖

Emily found me on Instagram, enquired for my availability via my website, then instantly booked our first meeting and we finally met over Whatsapp video chat after work - as if it happened one after the other 😂

They did book me with my (now closest-equivalent) Essentials Package, just before they went overseas for a few weeks (I think!). So I had everything set up to know more about their booked vendors while they were on holidays.

(By the way - they booked me about 7 months before their wedding - which I always prefer to book as soon as I pop up in your mind 😁 ✌️)

Over time, as we got to know each other, I had an idea of what was important to them, and what was not higher up in the priority list for their wedding.

We had “a-ha” moments too, and my eyes widening with lots of thoughts running in my mind when a question pops up 😂😂

We only had meetings over Microsoft Teams, but we finally met in person when we had our meeting with the reception venue owner about 2 weeks before their wedding 😂

Finally on the day, they were relaxed, had fun with lots of group photos. And enjoyed their food when they had a moment 😂

I woke up the next morning with a message from the couple saying “Thanks Tracey, you’re the best” 🤩

Big thanks to some of our amazing pros who were part of Emily & Yao’s wedding day!

It was lovely to meet vendors for the first time who I now look forward to working with again with future weddings; but also those who I’ve always enjoyed working with before and will continue to work with again and again. ❤️

Thank you to you all for being patient with me and looking at our detailed runsheet and floorplans to make the day a lot easier.

Congratulations to Emily & Yao who got married earlier this month.💍

Lots of open communication between us which made our journey a breeze. Apart from the day being quite hot, they were able to have fun on the day with their wedding party, families and friends.

My highlight of the day was our ceremony where Emily & Yao walked up the aisle, surrounded by bubbles and the song “I’m on top of the world” covered by our acoustic duo (vocalist and guitarist).

From humble beginnings to your go-to planner ✨️

It’s been an interesting journey, but if it wasn’t for the lessons and experiences I’ve had, I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today.

What hasn’t changed is my mindset of being open to opportunities of what has worked so well and what areas I need to work on so that I don’t relive my mistakes for future events and weddings.

📖 STORYTIME: our journey with Natasha and Jonathan 📖

Natasha was actually one of my bride’s bridesmaids! So she already observed and knew what I was like on her day of her good friend’s (Yeesan’s) wedding last year.

She reached out to me in the Instagram DM’s (and Yeesan messaged me too) to know more about me, and have our first meeting over a Zoom call to help with her wedding. And it wasn’t long afterwards where she knew we would also be a great fit to work together for her wedding.

I finally met her husband at our next meeting and I could tell straight away he was very chill as well and knew their wedding would be well looked after. Over time, I got to know both of them well, but also their families and their close-knit community who welcomed me with open arms.

Through Whatsapp messaging, weekly recap emails and monthly meetings (over good food!), we put the rest of their wedding together. We had a lot of “a-ha!” and “we never thought of that” moments, but at the same time, knew that it was better to have that in mind now than within the week of the wedding!

Part of their warm words about me was touching and reminded me how much I love what I do as a wedding and event planner:
“From the get go, Tracey’s warm and approachable nature, expertise and knowledge in event planning gave us peace of mind in planning our wedding. … She never skipped a beat! I remember questioning why I wasn’t stressed and how I was so calm upto and on the day of the wedding, and it was because I had Tracey.”

📖 STORYTIME: our journey with Sarah for her son Jude’s birthday 📖
A story I won’t forget, because it felt embarrassing from my end. 😂 But I am grateful Sarah saw the good in me and still patiently wanted to work with me. 🥲🙏🏼

I was in my son’s school assembly, listening to school announcements. I pulled out my phone 😏 to find a DM from Sarah, who enquired if I can be accommodating with her planning journey (she already booked the venue, but needed help with creating a beautiful 1st birthday party).

At that time, I said I can assist her, but will have an email sent to her afterwards of my service packages.

Unfortunately… There were technical difficulties from my end which I feel super embarrassed about. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sarah waited for a day and said that she was still waiting my information pack.

So I had to jump into my email inbox and manually send out my info pack to her, making sure she received it!

Within a few days, we had our first chat via Whatsapp video call. Our reception connection was so poor that I had to physically move around the house so that we could hear and talk to each other more properly (while my son was in the bathroom, screaming for me 😮‍💨). I sent all the relevant documents to Sarah for her to book me.

She also had a crazy few days (unintentionally) after our call, but eventually we got there! She booked with me and we jumped straight into putting together her son’s birthday.

She did admit that planning isn’t her forte, and realised that planning a birthday takes a lot more time to do than she initially thought. But in the end, she arrived with her hubby and son, fresh and relaxed, ready to have a wonderful celebration (with a coffee in hand!)

Big thanks to some of the event pros involved at Jude’s 1st birthday party! ✌️

It’s important for me to ensure we can work well together as a full team in creating this birthday. Thank you for being patient as I went around to say hello, checked in with how everyone’s going and opened for any pros double checking with me and asking last minute questions.

I didn’t get a photo with everyone as some pros had to head off for the next job. Next time, for sure!

📖 STORYTIME: our journey with Kerri and Daniel with their housewarming. 📖

In the week of a couple’s wedding in April when I was resorting to our wet weather (backup), I was very regularly checking my phone and email for replies.

Within all the replies for the wedding, I came across a first call with a person I haven’t met! 😅
During that week, after I finished my meeting with my couple, I drove straight home and jumped straight into my first call with Kerri. 📞

Kerri was working full-time and also studying at the same time - that she had absolutely NO time to plan and put together a traditional housewarming, to be held in 24 days.

I was transparent and knew we could plan this celebration in a short period of time - realistically knowing (and communicating with Kerri) that we only had a few weeks to plan and that a lot of event pros may not be available for our housewarming date, so we had to book with whoever was free.

Kerri liked how I was upfront, transparent and did not want to waste time. That she booked with me within an hour after our first chat!

Time flew by so quickly and we did not waste time at all (and that was what I love about her) - I went to her place just under 1.5 weeks after we started working together for me to view her place in person. Already by then - Kerri sent me her inspiration (Pinterest board), I contacted event pros and put together a proposal of how her whole housewarming would look and feel. She loved it, gave a tick of approval, and I quickly contacted suppliers to book (with Kerri) for this special occasion.

In a blink of an eye, the day finally arrived, and it was honestly a beautiful celebration, being present in a traditional Indonesian housewarming ceremony for Kerri and Daniel. 🥳

📖 STORYTIME: our journey with Jo & Steve 📖
Who loves stories? 😛

Jo was recommended to me by another local wedding planner who was unavailable on the date of Jo & Steve’s wedding. Jo went straight to knowing about me and my business more on Instagram, and after one month, Jo and Steve jumped into their first call with me back in September 2023 for their wedding in April 2024.

And within a week, they booked me with my wedding management service.

Throughout the last few months of the wedding planning journey, it has been smooth - with monthly consultations over good food from 4 months out from their wedding, and ongoing weekly recap emails to keep ourselves on track and a reference to lean on to what we needed to do in the near future.

It was a crazy week before their wedding, where it was predicted to be heavily raining on their special day (100mm of rain!) with a few rainy days ahead too. We went for our wet weather plan 5 days before their wedding.

But in the end, we got through!

I received a message from the next day and made me feel so grateful to bring their whole wedding together:
“Hi Tracey, thank you so much for all your help, honestly wouldn't have been possible without you and your team! We really do appreciate everything you have done, and hope you and your team had a good night as well!”

🏡Congratulations on your new house, Kerri! 🏡

This was definitely a milestone event I will never forget. 🤩

Kerri required my help to plan and put together a casual yet homely housewarming. While she was studying and working full-time, I reached out to suppliers who have availability within a month to be present with homely and comfortable furniture, amazing food and activities in a relaxed environment at their place.

It rained in the morning of the event 🌧, however the sun came out at the right time for a beautiful cultural housewarming ceremony. 🤩⭐️ (My highlight of this event!)
