(日本語後述)Kagura (神楽(かぐら), "god-entertainment") is a specific type of Shinto ritual ceremonial dance.
Kagura performances of the Buzen ( Fukuoka prefecture ) have two main characteristics.
One has many demons called “御先Misaki“ appear in their performances.
Main one called "駈仙 (御先) 神楽”Misaki Kagura", 神迎え"Kami mukae" and " 乱駈仙(御先)" Midare Misaki can be seen, and they are very popular.
The other performance called “湯立神楽 "Yudate Kagura" that was strongly influenced by Buzen training and was highly praised for receiving the designation of an important intangible folk cultural property of Japan.
The "Demon Legend" is born from these characteristics of Buzen Kagura and the mountain”求菩提山” "Kubote Mountain (Nationally Designated Historic Site)" of the mountain training Road, and expresses the exchange between the raging demon and the guardian of the Kubote Mountain who calms it.
