A lovely long weekend, the cold weather and the memory of Pilu at Freshwater perfect tiramisu to warm me up - watching the chef delicately layer mascarpone and coffee-soaked ladyfingers right before our eyes, the rich aroma filling the air as each spoonful melted in our mouths. Sometimes the most comforting moments come wrapped in cream and dusted with cocoa, especially when the weather outside makes you crave something indulgent and soul-warming. Thank you, 🤍

Easter Break -
Our kitchen will be partially closed for a well-deserved break from Saturday, April 19th until Saturday, April 26th. No deliveries and collections during this time.
I will be taking a few days off with the family to recharge and refresh.

Had one of those reminiscing moments today.... 💭 . This was our eating itinerary in Seville. Such a fantastic city for foodies with great restaurants and tapas bars literally everywhere... and our picks were :

📸 1, 2 & 3 - La Azotea Vinos & Tapas - - gorgeous tapas next to the cathedral.

4 & 5 - Ovejas Negras Tapas - - true highlight of our trip. Food is fresh, inventive and full of flavours. Lively and fun atmosphere. Our boys also had a great time considering the bar is very small and super busy. The staff is great and it was fun for all of us just to watch them work together. A must visit!

6 & 7 Chök Seville - - for the cheesecake lovers …

8 & 9 Mercado de Triana - - farmers market, beautiful variety of Spanish fresh produce.

10 & 11 - Jamoneria Jose Luis Romero - - at Mercado de Triana - where Domi decided to try oyster again... until he didn’t ha! 😆... the oyster and jamon were so fresh and delicious, melting in our mouths ... so yummy!

12 - OLMO Heladeria Artesanal - - totally worth the sugar intake... the creamy cheese with figs and Pedro Ximenez (Queso Cremoso al PX) was one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

13 & 14 - Mercado del Barranco - - Gourmet market housed in a 19th century building created as a fish market. Photos by Mercado del Barranco, as I ran out of battery 😝.

15 & 16 - Picnic Panes Artesanos - for the sourdough lovers like our family is ... 🥖

17 - Bodega Diaz Salazar - beautiful building and very traditional menu.

18 & 19 - Antigüedades Bar de Tapas - nice place for people watching and beautiful antique decor but mainly a tourist trap which is not what we look forward when travelling. Food was ok and the service wasn’t great either.
. (Note: we don’t always make the best choices ... 😊)

Event PANERAI 01/10/2024 - one of our biggest challenges so far… Serving food and drinks for 420+ guests during all day and evening. A risky opportunity considering the catering was all planned and executed while I was 20000 miles away, while travelling in Europe and Brazil 😬 …

It definitely pushed all my limits of trusting my team more than I ever had to… Sleepless nights, the worst anxiety and so many stomach aches 😵‍💫… and oh boy! our staff did their best and they succeeded in every single moment of this magical day. Thank you and for the opportunity. Thank you to all our staff who worked really hard to deliver perfection. Really proud of what we achieved … I can def be travelling more often with you all by my side. 😆❤️🥂, thank you 🤍🤍

On Sunday we catered for an intimate birthday lunch. Monique and Steve organised a surprise 80th birthday celebration for their long time friend. A beautiful day was had with our delicious food, lots of bubbles, kids reading poems and a few tears of joy (including mine haha ) were shared !
Everyone was so lovely and it was an honour to be part of this celebration.

The feedback received was just as beautiful! 🤍

“Dearest Helen, Thank you so much. I can’t believe you even provided photos! To say you are a Triumph of a person is an understatement. You have the most extraordinary energy about you. It is calming yet energising. You have a twinkle in your eye ready for fun and you live life abundantly and take everything in. You’re intuitive and thoughtful and oh! so creative. As you know and could appreciate, I haven’t been well lately. To have you so competently and elegantly put together the most incredible lunch was honestly heaven sent. I couldnt cope with anything and you made everything just perfect. Every morsel, every mouthful was beyond delicious. All the flavours are so incredibly complementary. Pam said it took her 80 years of age to have the best day of her life. And YOU did that. I just can’t thank you enough. Both Steve and I are so incredibly grateful.
