Recently I had the privilege of being hosted by the amazing Leah Muir, Taryn Reid and Emma Mapley from Business Events Tasmania on what can only be described as an incredible culinary and experiential journey starting in Northern Tasmania, through the East Coast and concluding in Southern Tasmania. Seeing many venues for the first time and experiencing others in a completely different way from what I had before, at every turn our itinerary provided unique and memorable experiences. You can never underestimate the value of seeing venues firsthand and I can't thank Business Events Tasmania and all the wonderful suppliers and venues enough for such a memorable experience. Looking forward to bringing my clients to Tassie and having them enjoy all that is on offer in this beautiful part of the world.

When you work with the at Connective on their you bring your A-game and the team at Urban Event Management made sure they brought it to Melbourne last week.

Over 2 days, 700 Brokers, Lenders, Staff and Partners enjoyed a stellar line-up of speakers during the conference held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. The delegates optimized their networking opportunities at the welcome function held at AFLOAT, continued to build relationships at the Lender Exhibition and enjoyed the social engagement at the gala dinner at THE LUME.

We are proud of what we created in partnership with Connective's talented L&D team, always striving to bring creativity, personal touch and seamless ex*****on into every aspect of our event production.

We don't sit still for long at Urban Event Management! Last week we had the pleasure of delivering the Connective Asset Finance Leadership Summit in beautiful Tassie. Our guests enjoyed a Taste of Tasmania welcome experience at Waterline Brooke Street Pier, conferencing at Wrest Point Hotel, Whisky Tasting and Gin Sensory Tour at LARK Distillery and their final evening celebration dinner at Old Wharf Restaurant, all jam-packed into 2.5 days. We pride ourselves on always going above and beyond to ensure seamless experiences for our client and their guests so when the team is asleep before the plane takes off to come home it's the sign of a job well done 😉

Last week we had the pleasure of bringing the Connective Staff Conference and Awards Dinner to life at the State Library Victoria and Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq. This is a special one for us because we are trusted to look after our client and the 160+ strong team of Connective staff from around Australia and overseas celebrating 21 years in business! Taking care of the details allowed them to relax and enjoy the 1.5 days of business updates, reward and recognition, fun and networking. To round out the busy month of May the team at Urban Event Management had the pleasure of working together with our fabulous client to produce their invitation-only Leadership Summit. Over 3 days and nights, these hardworking guests experienced bespoke educational training with Professor Felix Oberholzer-Gee, the Andreas Andresen Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School at the State Library Victoria. Mixing education during the day with networking in the evening, enjoying some of the best dining experiences Melbourne has to offer at Hazel Atrium, Chin Chin and Elwood Bathers. Attention to detail was key to ensuring a high-end experience that these guests walked away from commenting this was the best Leadership Summit they had attended.

On the eve of my birthday I had lunch with my wonderful parents who as part of my birthday present gave me this. A framed copy of an interview I did with Business Chicks Australia 10 years ago, when I had been running my business for just 1 year. Reading the words I said made me teary. Its a tough gig being a business owner and a mum and most days I feel like I'm failing at both but reading this today, 10 years later, made me feel proud, still teary, but also gave me a wonderful birthday present that I didn't expect. I'm still here, so is my family and so is my business and now it's not just me but a wonderful team who embody all the values Urban Event Management still holds dear. No mean feat. Happy birthday to me, it's rare for me to stop and take stock, always moving forward, but today I have. Here's to the next 10 years ❤️

To kick off the month of May, the team at Urban Event Management had the pleasure of bringing our wonderful client Connective’s Commercial Leadership Summit to life.

Held at the Anchorage Hotel, Port Stephens the 3-day event saw 50 of Connective’s Commercial Brokers and Lenders and Connective staff enjoy networking events at Shoal Bay Country Club and Murray's Craft Brewing Company combined with insightful business sessions at the hotel.

Port Stephens was the perfect destination for the attendees invited to take part in this event, enjoying all it has to offer in bespoke experiences and delicious food and beverages.

Delivering tailor made events that align with the clients outcomes is always a priority for us. We do this by taking a detailed brief, putting forward creative and on-point options and executing every aspect of the event with passion and attention to detail.

Time really does fly in the amazing world of events and the start of 2024 is certainly moving at light speed for us at Urban Event Management.

The team kicked off our first event for the year in April for our wonderful client the Australia-Japan Business Co-operation Committee (AJBCC) at the equally wonderful Adelaide Convention Centre. Nothing is too much trouble for this venue which is consistently a pleasure to work with.

Over 2 jam-packed days, we helped bring the AJBCC’s Transitioning Australia-Japan Energy Partnership – Towards a Carbon Neutral 2050 event to life. As the name of the event suggests it was an important platform for over 200 senior representatives from organisations both in Japan and Australia and the South Australian Government to continue discussions around energy and the evolution toward carbon neutrality.

One of the many things we love about working in events is the diverse range of sectors we support in bringing their events to life in memorable and purposeful ways.
