And breath....

What an incredible journey the Urban Event Management team has been on over the past 6 months. What started out as a busy year stepped up even more between September and November delivering 8 major events during that time. From Queenstown to Perth (2 back to back events) to Adelaide, Melbourne, Port Douglas, the Hunter Valley, and the Sunshine Coast all by an amazing team of 3 of us. We were supported by some equally amazing additional helpers onsite and in the background along the way and all in conjunction with our wonderful clients, Connective, AJBCC, and Bernafon!

It's a privilege to work with these clients and we've gone above and beyond to deliver memorable experiences at every turn. It's important to be honest and real and those of us in this wonderful world of events know how it can be equal parts amazing and challenging.

Often family and personal lives would be put last in order to put work and our clients first. Having the understanding and support of family and friends is an integral part of our success.

At times we were overwhelmed, exhausted and couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. But here we are and the light is shining bright from the successful events we've run.

I'm unbelievably proud of what we have achieved - we are a true reflection of small but mighty!

Our year isn't quite over just yet, there's site visits, quoting and budgeting for 2026 events and just a few final budgets and reconciliations to be done but we will enjoy the calmer pace until a well-deserved break over December and January.

Here's to 2026, with more new client events, our wonderful existing client events, educational and inspirational experiences for our own growth and development and whatever else is install for us, we will be ready ❤️

Connection, memorable experiences, surprise & delight and education. All the elements Urban Event Management wants our guests to feel when we produce events for our clients and that's exactly what I experienced when I was lucky enough to be hosted by ALI THOMPSON and her team at Sunshine Coast Business Events at earlier this month. Attention to detail is at the forefront of the way we do business so to experience this as a guest myself, the effort wasn't lost on me. As a business owner, it's challenging to take time out from "the doing", but the value of being on this trip can't be measured, for the relationships formed, the experiences gained and the knowledge learned.

In the last week of July, we kicked off the start of our busiest time of the year with the Connective Staff Conference in Melbourne. Always such a pleasure looking after our client directly with all their staff from around Australia and Manila arriving in Melbourne for the 2-day event. From conferencing at Q Venue, celebrating success at the Awards Dinner at Metropolis to creating memorable team moments at Archie Brothers Docklands, we love seeing our clients able to relax as delegates for a change while we take care of them!
