Thank you to Dr Michelle Byrne - Mayor of the Hills Shire Council for joining us at our 10 year celebration. We look forward to the next 10 years of caring for people through really good food.
🥳This year Dinner on the Table celebrates 10 years of being in business and more importantly, 10 years of improving lives, one dinner at a time.
Ten years ago, the incredible and inspirational Rachel Golding who has a PhD in families and disability gave away her academic career to start up the social enterprise, Dinner on the Table. The purpose of Dinner on the Table is to provide wholesome meals for time poor families and to provide catering for events with all profits going into gifting meals to families living with disabilities.
Many in our community have benefited from the kindness and generosity of Rachel and her team who have made life a little easier by putting dinner on the table.
Ten years ago Rachel didn’t know how long Dinner on the Table would last. Let’s face it, running a small business is hard but she has done it! Dinner on the Table so far has survived Covid, a couple of relocations to bigger premises, expansions of sales into Victoria and ACT and the ups and downs of the economy and consumer spending.
👏Congratulations to Rachel and her team. Well done on surviving your first 10 years and for the incredible things you have achieved so far. I definitely can’t wait to see what the next 10 years brings you!
💐More importantly thank you for the difference you are making for local families living with disabilities. Thanks for bringing a smIle to their faces and making life a little bit easier for them!
