Outdoor Stage
Powered by our MM Acoustics system for hi-fi pressure and tight low end in the open air.
Detroit icon and Melbourne royalty lead the charge, with and a tune-for-tune Brother 2 Brother from and .

Indoor Stage
Reinforced with Nexo PS15s and EAW SB1000s for crystal vocals, sharp highs, and controlled bass that hits without flooding the room.
Inside is steered by , Killimi, Rydeen, plus setwun B2B ciara and a live PA from and friends.

Mellow Zone
Hosted by long-time community contributors Fanatico Records and Mora Laxa with the Casa Discos Pop-Up Record Fair.
Selectors Daniel lupica, Dj Lufaria, Milkpaste and the Fanaticos crew setting the tone.

And finally — the Void Stage, Mode Festival.

This year we took a different direction, moving from a line array to a point source MM Acoustics setup to make sure sound hit every corner of the room. Delay fills spaced 10 m apart and subs tuned to kick frequencies kept the energy tight, eliminating reflections from the building and sound everywhere.

Big thanks to Lewba and Nahar for running the tight ship, handling the changeovers, and to the incredible visual/lighting team Blake, Andre, and Ryan for transforming an empty room into a proper rave cave.

We needed more floor space this year at the Naval Store for Mode Festival.
Mode wanted a 360 design so wherever you stood, you were surrounded by sound.

As Ethan explains, we built a compact centre stage with Nexo PS15s firing in all directions and paired them with Funktion-One F221 double 21s for full bass coverage.

Less space. More energy. Maximum vibes.

Big ups to Sam, Liam, Carla (on the visuals) and everyone who came for the intimate dance.

Larger crowd. Bigger DJs. Bigger sound.

When we found out the Resident Advisor stage would host names like Four Tet and Floating Points and the festival was scaling from 6,000 to 10,000 punters — we knew we had to level up.

We rolled out our newly acquired Outline Butterfly line array system, months in the making. New amps built. Drivers restored. Configured for maximum output.

As Eamonn explains, the setup featured 12 tops per side, 18 Subtech double 18s in an end-fire configuration pushing all the bass forward, and Mantis fills through the centre and sides.

We also handled mixing, changeovers, and full backline support for both live acts and DJs.

Big thanks to Spencer, Oskar, Ethan, and the crew for keeping everything tight from start to finish.

And that’s a wrap, we’re off the island.

Big thanks to Bizarro for trusting us with another successful festival, serving a massive 10,000 fans. Huge appreciation to Blake and his lighting and visuals crew, stage hands Oskar, Liam, Nahar, and Jim, and our system techs and engineers Eamonn, Spencer, Ethan, Sam, and Lewba. Thanks to Charles for jumping in to help, Tripoint for being absolute legends as always, and Sixt5 for ferrying our Outline rig down and bringing the stages with us to life.

And of course, Arron for managing the project, Lachy and the prep crew, and everyone involved in the bump in and bump out. The Buzz backup crew kept the shop running and handled the afterparty while we were focused on the main festival. There's too many to name, but everyone played a part.

Happy Mode Week 🙂

Trucks are packed and we’re rolling out. After months of planning, it’s go time with three stages to build and one massive week ahead.

We’re running full sound across all stages, setting up extra tables for smooth artist transitions, and managing long cable runs across the site. Finding and fulfilling obscure tech riders is all part of the job. Every detail counts.

We’re working with multiple suppliers covering every part of the festival including lasers, site management, rigging, staging, lighting, vision, decor, and more. Timing and planning are key, especially when everything has to be loaded onto a barge.

During bump in, we’re tackling one stage per day. This year we’ve scaled up with new designs and layouts, and we can’t wait for you to see it.

Successful production support for Uber's exclusive advertising event, we repositioned the MM stacks to open up the space and views, dialed in the acoustics, prepared and ran slides and presentations, mixed speeches, added extra 65" screens and extra presenter displays for seamless assistance.
