Join a class to find yourself making new friends and learning new skills in a fun and safe environment. Our students are more than nameless faces - your trainer will take the time to get to know you personally and help you set and achieve your individual goals. Whether you are a new beginner or a seasoned professional, an aspiring Cirque du Soleil performer or a recovering couch potato, we’re here

to help. As well as being excellent teachers, all our trainers are also professional circus performers, to ensure you get the highest standard of training from people who have the experience to back it up. Under the guidance of Circus Akimbo’s professional trainers, you will find yourself learning all sorts of things you might never have believed possible, including trapeze, juggling, hooping, unicycling and more! As well as classes, we run workshops for all ages and groups, from primary and high school sport through to team building and christmas parties. We can also supply balloon twisters, face painters and performers for all events, bringing the circus to you.

Bit of a shock announcement: After eight wonderful years, Circus Akimbo will be taking our final bows at the end of February 2022. I (Claire) moved on to a full time position outside the circus industry in 2020, and while I’m still involved with the circus, unfortunately I can no longer juggle two jobs. Although we have a great team of staff keeping things going, and hoped to find a replacement director, sadly we’re facing the end of our lease with no one in sight.

However, we’re not done just yet! We’ll be running our school holiday Circus Camp as usual (17-19th Jan), as well as casual classes throughout Jan/Feb for kids and adults. We’re also planning a big ‘garage sale’ style closing party in February (pending covid safe precautions), so you can take home a bit of the circus and continue your journey, even once the studio has closed.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been a part of the Akimbo journey, and I hope to see you at one of our final classes or events to reminisce on the great times we had!
