Sometimes, the real impact of what we do in our work goes far beyond the job itself. It's not just about the job—it’s about what it represents, the joy it creates, and the lives it touches.

One of the most heartwarming projects I’ve had the privilege to capture on video was with Happy Kookaburra Landscaping PTY LTD. During the isolation of COVID, a young girl, wheelchair-bound and unable to leave her house, found herself disconnected from the world outside. Recognizing this, The Happy Kookaburra team transformed her garden into a lush tropical paradise, complete with birds and a serene water feature.

This wasn’t just landscaping—it was a gateway to connection. Her garden became her sanctuary, a place where she could experience the beauty of nature and feel a sense of freedom she hadn’t had in years.

This story is a reminder that the work we do often carries a deeper meaning. It’s not just about creating something beautiful—it’s about what that beauty brings to someone’s life.

When the Tamborine Mountain Basketball Wolves asked us to create a video for their girls program, it was an instant YESSSS!!!

This community club is an amazing asset to the community and is run by a fantastic team of people.

Basketball is such a great team sport to get involved with and they have their trials on this Saturday.

If you have kids that are looking for a sport to get involved in, or as a parent you would like them to learn more about teamwork and being active, get along to their trails

Big thanks to all the girls and parents for their efforts.... pretty epic if you ask us.

On Friday night, We hosted a gig with Kyle Lionhart. It was absolutely beautiful, but hosting a gig on Friday the 13th was ambitious....
Firstly we had a technical glitch in our livestream which meant that we had amazing video, but the sound just didn't work... there were so many technical difficulties in trying to resolve it that we just had to accept that it wasn't going live, but we recorded it to put it up after.
Then the eftpos went down.... I mean cmon!!!!
It was so challenging and in those moments I thought to myself, sometimes this is the price of dreaming big. It was hard but we got through it.
But this moment of Cedar "Sparrow" singing with Kyle makes it all worth it. The gift of music is something that I feel ripples out into the ethers. So grateful for Kyle for allowing her to get up with him

I know it's a long video "6mins" but if you have time, this is a special moment in The Knoll Studio story.

Massive thanks to local for supporting and to all of the people that attended, both in person and online (even though we weren't able to deliver the live we created a win win for Kyle and his fans who still got to see the show"

Ryan here, just wanted to connect with you all and share a bit of what has been a massive 1st year here at The Knoll Studio, with so much time and effort gone into creating the space just the way I want it, now seems a good time to reflect on the year thats been.

We started where The Centre of Regenerative Arts left off with their vision and their support, for the site to be a place for the arts. A place for community to be inspired, to realise the vision to create a space that a creative mind would be inspired in, was clear in my mind.

I think about the term visionary, peering into the future and then willing into existence. With no capital investors or wealthy benefactors, it was my life savings and the belief of my family and friends (and help) that I sit here today, once again, looking into the future and listening for the whispers of what wants to be.

The truth is ive never been good at just doing one thing... i like buzz and excitement of new things and working in the creative field is certainly that.

Ive worked with people with "unique abilities" for nearly 20 years now (I know right) and it lights me up when I am able to connect deeply with a client and get to support them creatively, personally and socially.

I don't use the word D!$!L!tY, i think is outdated and its never sat well with me. I know there are those that claim it and are empowered by it, but it doesn't inspire me, so i don'
use it.

Ive always had a small number of clients and focused on really creating the conditions so that their unique talents and spirit can shine.

The first time I ever worked with people with Unique Abilities I was doing a drum workshop for Threeworlds at the Currumbin Special School.

I remember driving the van loaded up with bongos and shakers to the school when it kind of dawned on me that ive never done anything like this before. I remember thinking.... how am I going to pull this off? A wave of anxiety ran through me thinking about this unknown experience.

I sat at the red light and remembered that really, it was all just about connection, and while we may have differing abilities, there was a place that we were all the same, our humaness.

I said to myself, I am going to connect on the level that we are the same, and thats what I did.

There I met a young man who loved music and his mum asked if I would do 1 on 1 with him, I did... and the rest is history.

I wrote a song about this with my dear friend Ash Perrow and it was one of the first recordings we ever did.

I reason I am sharing this with you is because increasing my available spots in my my studio to offer my bespoke and individualised supports for those with NDIS plans.
