Well WOW!!!!!! We are just beyond BLOWN AWAY with the turnout yesterday. We had someone say they attempted a headcount at the official opening and lost track after 200! MONUMENTAL!

Thank you to ALL of you from the bottom of our hearts for showing up, showing support, and also supporting our vendors who had a great day and kept us all fed, hydrated and filled with treats!

We had the most EPIC day enjoying chatting to you all, dancing to the music (thanks to our talented musicians), and just being immersed in that vibe surrounded by so many other creatives!

It was a true celebration of creativity and community and we are ALL FOR IT!

Thank you for sharing in such a special day with us, and we think more events like this should be on the cards!

What could be better than gelato on a warm day?

Today we have Tamborine Mountain Gelato Co providing their delicious sweet treats to the creative masses. One thing that makes their gelato extra special is that they use fresh Scenic Rim milk! Not only does this make for a more rich and creamy texture, but it also ensures our local community is supported by sourcing ingredients from the very land we reside on.

We’ve seen some fanciful flavours across their menu lately including blood orange and pink lady apple, and we can’t wait to try!

If you are one of the many people who loves burgers and moreover flavour-town you're going to wanna grab one of these…

Chef Dylan will be on the grill cooking up a storm all handmade from the freshest and highest quality local ingredients, and if you’ve ever been to the markets up here you’ve probably been drawn to his stand by the delicious smell of the grill being carried on the breeze and just had to try what’s on offer…. He’s kinda like the pied piper of the grill 😜 so be sure to grab a burger!

We are so excited to have our friends from sister mountain Beechmont Mountain, serving up a liquid storm today at our opening! We have been big fans of Beech Mountain Distillery Gin for quite some time now, and these guys are true artisans! You must try their bespoke gins today, (Strawberry Gum is an absolute must try favourite of ours!) If gins not your thing, the Wild Berry Cider we have to say is the best cider we’ve ever had and you won’t be able to stop at just one 😉 There will also be ginger beer and pale ale on tap to quench your thirst!

Now for the youngins and those that like it a little softer, there will be soft drinks available for purchase because the guys wanted to make sure everyone is catered for!

They’re lovely people and do great things for both the Beechmont Community and ours up here on Tamborine Mountain, so stop by the cart, have a chat and enjoy a drink this warm November day!

Our open studio this coming Saturday is about showcasing the arts in our beautiful new creative space! YES we will have an exhibition of visual artists, but we will also have music artists sharing their art for your auditory pleasure!👂

Some of you may or may not know that Ryan was lead singer for the Lamplights for around 10 years and then he and fellow band mate, epic slide guitarist and bestie, Ash Perrow, embarked on a musical duo named The Brothers Calling.
Our open studio will see Ash returning from Sydney to share his solo musical creations, as well as artists Arianna Malezer and personal friend of Ryan’s, Jack O Leary along with Sam De Santi from band MunsterBucks, will be sharing their kicking Irish vibes before playing a show a couple of blocks down at the Zamia Theatre Saturday evening.

It’s all happening up here and we are looking forward to the mountain being ALIVE with the arts on Saturday!

Well the next couple of weeks are proving to be ‘arty’ that’s for sure! We have our open studio next Saturday the 18th, and this weekend is the Pottery Road Open Studio, where you can go and visit the working spaces of some amazing potters here on the mountain, one being the wonderfully talented Nicci Morgan, who will also have a piece on exhibition at The Knoll Studio Open Studio next weekend!

Expressions of interest are now closed!

Thank you to all of the wonderful artists for taking their time to submit their pieces to us to help celebrate our opening.

We are very much looking forward to seeing all of your pieces on display in our studio for our open studio on Saturday 18th November.

This will be an eclectic exhibition showcasing the variety and versatility of our local artists and we think we have lots to celebrate with our creative community!

I have sent emails out tho those artists exhibiting, so please check your inboxes if you have submitted a piece.

Mountain Artists, if you are interested in having an artwork exhibited for our opening, please submit your expression of interest by close of business tomorrow (Tuesday 31st). We will let artists know by the end of this week. Please note, we have limited space and we’ve had a number of expressions of interest, so as much as we would like to feature everyone this time around, that may not be possible. We also feel it important to give the artwork that will be exhibited space to ‘breathe’ and be viewed properly, so we won’t be ‘cramming’ the walls. Our decisions will be based off dimensions of submitted artwork versus the spaces we have available, as well as having some versatility amongst what is displayed to showcase the possibilities within art!

We thank those who have shown expressions of interest so far. It has been an absolute pleasure seeing such incredible works grace our inbox!

TAKING EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Mountain Creatives! We're looking for you!

The Knoll Studio will be opening our orange doors on Saturday 18th November for the first time with an OPEN STUDIO.

We know our mountain is filled with incredible artists and we want to showcase your work in our gallery space in celebration of all things local art!

This opportunity will be at no cost to you, we are simply wanting to showcase our local talent and show what our beautiful gallery space is capable of for all the wonderful future exhibitions we will hold here!

This is open to artists from disciplines such as painting, printmaking, sculpture, pottery, textile.

Last night we attended an art exhibition at The Art Post (a lovely little gallery venue on Main Street), by a local Tamborine Mountain Artist - Lilly Piri. We love Lilly’s art work and really, this statement captures perfectly the language of an artist. Art can be the most exquisite expression of the depths of our inner world, captured in each element, in each stroke, in each choice of colour... Art is a gift to the world and we are so incredibly lucky to have some brilliant Artists here on the mountain! Talking last night with many of these Artists, had us reflecting on the beautifully unique versatility of each of these Artists, and just how exciting it actually is to be able to experience visually, these pieces of art that are a very personal reflection of these Artists. That's pretty special!

Thank you Lilly, for allowing us to experience your wondrous artwork.

We look forward to hosting and celebrating all things ART at The Knoll Studio!

SHOUT OUT TO DULUX
We’ve had some pretty epic locals come through our doors over the past few days offering to help in the bringing to life of The Knoll Studio. One of those people is Ricki from Dulux who has kindly donated a bunch of Dulux paints and painting accessories to have our walls looking ‘gallery ready.’ If you haven’t noticed already, we’re pretty into the earthy, rusty orange colour palette (after all it does represent the rich, fertile, red volcanic soil that makes up our beautiful Tamborine Mountain, so this colour ‘Orangeade’ is what will greet you on our doors as you enter the world that is The Knoll Studio.

Keegan is totally in charge of this operation! 🤣

He is pretty amazing really, and since working with Ryan, Keegan has become a paid VoiceOver actor!

We think Keegan is definitely looking forward to creating some cool new material in this space!
