⭐️ THANK YOU TO THE DREAM TEAM IN 2024! ⭐️

What a HUGE year it has been! It wouldn’t have been such a successful year without our glorious team from all over! ❤️💛

Holly, Lucy, Sarah, Tash, Jess, Mel, Emma, Meredith, Benham, Kyla, Sam, Izabela, Mon, Shruti and Kayla. The dream team! Some are full time, part time, contractors and pop in helpers but all SO valued ⭐️🏋️‍♀️ and the reason we can deliver wonderful events, event marketing and comms!

We spent Tuesday and Wednesday together 🥰 at Goonoo Goonoo Station and at Dpartment working on a wrap of our year, our plans for 2025 and improving our service delivery for the future!

We also had the most beautiful dinner at the Glasshouse Restaurant with clients and GRO friends last night! Special gifts thanks to Two Rivers Wines from my Mum’s hometown, Denman and GRO merch for everyone 🤣

All our big events for the year are now complete so planning, refreshing, and setting up for a rest over Christmas from 20 December to 5 January is underway!

Feeling very grateful for what we have all made happen this year in this small but mighty team ❤️

Today was a super exciting day for us at GRO Events Group – we secured a fantastic slot on The Today Show with Karl and Sarah for the brilliant world #1 bronc rider – Damian Brennan!

This weekend Saturday, 2nd November in Scone at White Park, The Cinch Australian Open International Bronc Match, the first of it’s kind in Australia, is kicking off and we couldn’t be more excited! Featuring world-class bronc riders from Australia, the U.S., and Canada. Headlined by Australia’s World #1, Damian Brennan, fresh off his record-breaking win at the Cinch Playoffs Governor's Cup, this is set to be a historic day for Australian rodeo!

Holly and Lucy have been working so hard to get this promoted in local, regional and national media – and today was the icing on the cake at The Today Show – and Damian was a star!

🌾 Today was meant to be our Rural Women’s Day event in Tamworth! And while I missed posting on Wednesday (TLDR: chook show 😂), I couldn’t let the week end without properly acknowledging its importance.

We started celebrating Rural Women’s Day around five years ago 💫, right when GRO was kicking off. Since then, we’ve witnessed a huge shift in how rural women are recognised, supported, and resourced 🌾🙌🏻.

From early conversations about Rural Women’s Day 👩🏼‍🌾 to the incredible events now held across Australia, and trailblazers like Jackie Elliot from making it happen — this day has become a permanent fixture on our calendar, and we couldn’t be prouder!

This week, I’ve been blown away by the social media love celebrating rural women — shoutouts to powerhouse leaders ⭐️⭐️ like Fiona Simson🌾 and Su McCluskey (loved your posts ) 💡and the inspiring vision for of rural girls of the future from 👯‍♀️❤️.

I want to highlight something: five years ago, this wasn’t happening at the scale we see today.

✨ Conversations around rural women in leadership weren’t as encouraged as they are now.
✨ Boards weren’t actively seeking rural women for diversity because they now see the value.
✨ And many women weren’t stepping into their own businesses from home or the farm like they are today.

While these days come and go, the reflection they spark shows us how much has changed. Celebrating, resourcing, and supporting rural women is driving real progress. 💝

It’s been a huge week for us at GRO 😮‍💨 and we’ve got more exciting updates coming soon. But for now, we want to shout out to all the rural women chasing their dreams, living the lives they choose, and leading the way. Without that same encouragement, GRO wouldn’t exist. 💫

So here’s to Rural Women’s Day and wrapping up this week — and to celebrating it for many years to come! 🥂✨
