About fRETfEST, Pete Murray said “ Fretfest was one of my earliest gigs, and it gave me the opportunity to play my original music to an appreciative crowd” which remains true today.

🎸 YOUNG STARS ON GUITARS 🎸

Tonight, Tamworth City Bowling Club will showcase the engaging brother duet of WATTMORE, 18yo Kai & 20yo Aiden from Brisbane, with their guitar-driven pop/rock sound.

“I’ve always said when you’ve got family on stage, then you’ve really got something special; and these boys bring a family hearted vibe for sure, along with their outstanding talent!” says Al Buchan of fRETfEST.

“I was genuinely impressed when I first saw Wattmore performing live on stage with such enthusiasm and I watched patrons enjoying their sound, right around the room.”

Also on show tonight, is a specially selected all-U18 age line-up of buskers, bringing genuine young talent to the stage; 11yo Zachary, 13yo Keelan, 13yo Briar and 15yo Sophie from 4pm today.

🎸 DUELLING ENTERTAINMENT 🎸

Tonight, Tamworth City Bowling Club will showcase the brother duet of THE RUSTON -WALKOMS from Bathurst!

This dynamic duo of brothers aged 11yo & 13yo made waves when they opened Catherine Britt marking a milestone in their young career and Catherine was so impressed, she invited them to open for her at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2024!

Adding to the entertainment tonight is another wonderful duet of brothers, Aiden & Kai, known as WATTMORE, who will wow the audience with their guitar-driven pop/rock sound.

Also on stage tonight is Coral Renee, “the girl in Pink” and Jane A Naoi, both fRETfEST Finalists in 2024, along with Emma Jordyn from Brisbane who is a graduate of the The CMAA Academy Of Country Music and counts DRAG RACING amongst her hobbies!

🎸 WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY 🎸
Today was our best turnout at Tamworth City Bowling Club with thanks to all our performers and to everyone who came along! Thanks also to the cool crew at Jax Bistro who laid on a delicious dinner and to our special Feature Act, Kayla Mahon who stunned everyone with her amazing voice and truly moving songs in a consummate solo acrostic guitar performance, plus 11yo cousins, Meila and Georgia ‘The Sparkles’ who amazed the crowd with their powerful duo of ukulele & guitar!
Thanks also to Nathan Parise, Jordi Woods Music, Lucy Watson Music and Pete Campbell Music for their engaging busking this afternoon.
