🤍 A little throwback...
Gertie's Goodies actually didn't begin in the Barossa.
We started in Port Augusta before making the decision to move home to the Barossa a few years later.
I'll be honest - I was terrified.
In Port Augusta, Gertie's had really found its feet. We had wonderful customers who supported us from the beginning, and leaving that behind meant starting all over again.
When we moved, we jumped straight into leasing our kitchen, but we didn't have the customer base we'd spent years building. We had to earn that trust all over again.
It probably took another 12 or so months before things really started to gain momentum, and eventually we found ourselves busier than ever.
Looking back now, it was one of the biggest risks I've taken... but also one of the best.
To everyone who's supported Gertie's - whether you found us in Port Augusta, discovered us after the move, or have only recently walked through our shop doors- thank you. You've all been part of this journey. 🤍
Seven years in, I'm so excited to see where the next chapter takes us. 🌻
