A random seedling popped up 18 months ago… it looked & stayed stunted for a while. Heat , water & compost made it start to flower.. and this was picked this afternoon!! I did want to wait until fully ripe. Love

Apricots are in season….these are seconds from (made jam as well- later post). Cake topped with halved apricots & dusted with flakes almonds… got demolished quickly by family ( you know who you are !!! 😉)

Last class for 2023… the girls from , mastered the pasta making brilliantly… these were accompanied by 2 fresh & a simple tomato 🍅 sugo. A watermelon, feta & mint salad made a refreshing side .

The self seeded tomatoes from the garden are now coming to a close… old leaves trimmed off & waiting for the last ones to ripen in this warm weather. Nothing better than a freshly picked warm tomato to added straight away into a salad 🥗

Crumbed eggplant, schnitzeled eggplant 🍆 or just yummy eggplant… saw this on an insta post & tried it !! So lovely where the eggplant inside is soft & luscious …. So quick to cook as well ! Try it- you will love ❤️ it. Tastes great the next day as well

Men at work !!! A family who cook together… have lots of fun - father, nephew, sons in law & grandson - what a pleasure to have. Egg pasta, filled ravioli, cannelloni, fettuccine, focaccia & fennel & blood orange salad with greens from the garden ! Grazie mille ragazzi !!!!

I came across these biscuits in book while searching for recipe that I have made a few times & such part of my life. Apart from the raisins, I had all the ingredients ( subbed currants instead)- and I must say these turned out delicious 😋 & moorish… who would have thought fine polenta could be used this way. Grazie mille!!

jam / marmelata- just fruit, lemon juice & sugar… bundled seeds into a muslin cloth & cooked in together with the fruit. So lovely eating jam. Hope next seasons harvest is more abundant 🙏
