This historic building is the former St. Thomas Church in Thomson Brook, just south of Donnybrook

This beautiful historic building, the former St Thomas Anglican Church, is surrounded by natural bush and rolling hills just south of Donnybrook. Finished in 1909 with bricks handmade on site and jarrah trimmings, it has been deconsecrated, and the owner is passionate about preserving and promoting its heritage. The building and surrounds are available to hire for low-impact events such as wedding

ceremonies, art exhibitions, photo shoots, and small celebrations. The Old Church also invites musicians to present intimate acoustic musical performances from time to time. If you'd like to know more, please get in touch, otherwise we'll keep you updated here!

A reminder about the concert being held here at 5pm this Sunday. Come and relax after the last week of fire stress.

A $15 discount is offered to all who volunteered their time with the recent fires all around the Old Church, with a huge thank you to the volunteer fire brigades who saved many properties in our community. Use the code "Fire" in the discount window.

Once again, a huge thank you to all the firies, emergency peeps, and locals who assisted with the fires both this week and last week in the vicinity of the Old Church. Our little music show will be going ahead this Sunday and there are still a few tickets available. Looking forward to seeing you there!

A massive shout out to Tammy, Jessie and friends who are raising money for Beyond Blue. After holding a very successful Paint and Sip day last Sunday at the Old Church. Thomson Brook, they raised $975 for this wonderful cause. We are pleased that we could donate the venue for this worthwhile cause.

Hanging out at the Old Church this morning in the lovely misty rain. Noticed the "puddle" in the paddock next door is looking large. This is where they dug the clay to make the bricks for the Old Church. These bricks were then fired in kilns behind where the old dunny is. Reckon it would have been hard work!

We're starting the new music season at the Old Church with a fundraising performance by two gifted young classical pianists.

All door takings will go towards Telethon Speech and Hearing's Loud Shirt Day, raising money to help give the gift of sound and speech to deaf children.

Please join us at 4:30pm on Saturday 9 April for this performance, which will sound amazing in the Old Church!
