Although we couldn’t hold our Open Garden this year we managed to still raise money for the RCH by volunteering at our local CFA ❤️🏥

Torrumbarry you never cease to amaze us all. Yesterday for the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal the Torrumbarry Fire Brigade has managed to raise a staggering $12,124 through cash donations and our online QR code.
But what is even more amazing is that the greater Torrumbarry community has raised a mind blowing $17,912 combined total from our wonderful little community.
We would like to thank all those who gave up their time to help collect and to all those who generously donated however big or small as you have all contributed to this truly mind-blowing effort for a wonderful case.
A special mention to a few of our bigger contributors, but we really do thank everyone involved.

We where very lucky to work with the extremely talented Brooke from By Brooke Creative on our logo. For us it isn’t just a logo, it is a depiction of a very important part in the garden that we get to appreciate every day, and we hope you love it as much as we do! 🥰

The boys have been hard at work this week. We had 18 conifer trees behind our Japanese Garden that had unfortunately contracted a fungal disease and died. We have removed them and what a transformation 😍💥
We now have an amazing space that we plan to renew with a sprinkler system and new lawn. This space will be a huge asset for weddings and events, we can already picture a marquee down here 😍 @ Torrumbarry, Victoria, Australia

Yesterday was such a success, we love watching people enjoy the garden and the beautiful atmosphere that is Wattle Creek Estate. We cannot wait to hold more open days later in the year. This day would not have been possible without support from some amazing people. A huge thank you to my mum, my aunties, my cousins, Edwina and so many of our friends and family for coming out to support our small business.

We are very proud that at our first event we have raised $468 for the Royal Children’s Hospital. Thank you so much to those we donated the prizes, and those who purchased tickets!

Our Easter Open Garden and Egg Hunt will be an annual event, we cannot wait to do it all again next year even bigger and better! 🌿🥰🥀🐥🍫

Congratulations to Tennyson who last week graduated from William Angliss Institute with a bachelor in Culinary Management. Her five years studying in Melbourne have provided her with access to learn from the best teachers, chefs, and business owners in the country.

Tennyson can’t wait to put all of this knowledge of the tourism, hospitality and events industry into action here at Wattle Creek Estate. 👩‍🎓🎉

We would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We hope you have all had some relaxing time over this festive season, and have finally been able to catch up with family and friends like we have. Covid permitting, in 2021 we are setting our sights on finally being able welcome the public to Wattle Creek Estate and host our first events. Until then stay safe and look out for your family and friends in this turbulent time.

Introducing our next fur babies, our Highland Heifers, Harriet and Polo. We have had our girls for three months and have spent a lot of time getting them used to us, from not being able to pat them we are now able to brush them, pick up their feet and they come when called. We are getting them in calf this year and will hopefully have two more additions next Spring. 🥰🐂

Here is a little throwback. On the 10th of March 2001 Dannielle and her husband John were married in Cohuna by the Gunbower Creek, my sister India, was one of their flower girls. Following their ceremony the wedding party came to Wattle Creek for their wedding photos. Nineteen years on, Dannielle, John and their family are retuning to where they had their wedding photos taken to take family photos with their four beautiful children. We can’t wait to see them next week and recreate the magic of that special day and share the updated photos with you. 🥰🌿

14/09/2020

It is with great pleasure Tennyson and Andrew announce Wattle Creek Estate as the newest function centre along The Murray River. Wattle Creek Estate is a large family homestead nestled amongst ancient River Red Gums, just 750 metres from the famous Murray River and twenty minutes from the historic Port of Echuca. Taking its name from the Wattle Creek, which meanders through the property, the estate is built around the large red brick homestead and surrounded by amazing gardens with several feature elements in the garden such as the Japanese garden and rose arbours. The house and garden was built by Tennyson’s grandparents Norma and Dean Vinnicombe, who purchased the property in 1977, and they built the homestead in 1994, Norma and Dean then spent the next twenty years designing, planting and maintaining the large garden which covers over three acres.

The sunken lawn provides the perfect setting for outdoor functions, just exploring the gardens is an adventure in itself - with the opportunity to reflect in the Japanese Garden, play amongst established pines by "The Folly", or stroll through the roses and camellias, there is something for everyone in this gorgeous rural setting. Due to Covid 19 we are unable to host any weddings or functions untill restrictions have lifted, in the mean time we wish to virtually provide people with an insight into the property, and what we can offer for your future function. We will continue to work through the coming months to transform some of the spaces in the garden to accommodate all types of events that we plan to host in the future.

Both Andrew and Tennyson are highly experienced in the hospitality industry, Tennyson’s Bachelor in Culinary Management, coupled with hers and Andrews years of experience in bars, wedding co-ordination and venue management, they can provide all the knowledge to make any event a success. We can’t wait to show you our hidden oasis and discuss how we can help you make your special event even more special at Wattle Creek Estate. If anyone has any enquires about the venue please don’t hesitate to contact us through our page: Wattle Creek Estate, on Instagram: wattlecreekestate or via email: [email protected]

We look forward to hearing from you, Tennyson Ashwin and Andrew Hemley 🌿
