My weekend could not have been more perfect. Such a special honour to be asked to marry such a beautiful couple in such a beautiful location.

This ceremony was a last minute hand over from another celebrant, and in a situation like this, the uncertainty can be stressful, and has the potential to hinder the joy that the couple deserve to enjoy in the lead up to the wedding day.

So when I step in and take on this responsibility, it is my job to ensure that the couple are reassured that everything will be ok. It is my job, however last minute, to get to know them, and share with them a ceremony that is exactly what they hoped for. Achieving all this, and seeing the happiness on their faces is for me what it is all about, and one of the things I am most grateful for 🤍

The ceremony preparation for me, is just as exciting as the ceremony itself.

It's an added bonus and privelege of the job, that I get to learn all about each couples life, before they met, how they met, and the wondrous and unique story that led them up to their special day.

To then go away and write their story into a ceremony that showcases and represents who they are, brings me so much joy.

And then to stand in front of the beautiful couple, and their closest friends and family, to deliver this ceremony is such an honour.

Blessed and grateful I certainly am 🙏🤍
