Thank you to all of our amazing helpers today at Townsville's Strongest 2022!!! We cannot do it without you. A very special congratulations and well done shout out to the helpers who were also competitors - that meant they loaded, carried and set up last night and early this morning, before then competing today.... and then did it all again at the end of the day - Brad Bowie; Ross Barber; Jesse Lowe; Kim Collier; Dylan Bowie. Congrats to all competitors - you're all winners just for putting yourself out there and testing your strength today - it takes a lot of courage!!!!

We are hosting an RSPCA cupcake day at Townsville's Strongest tomorrow Sunday August 7th. We will set up a table with our cupcakes the same as we did last year. Our efforts raised $1006 last year, which we are hoping to beat. We appreciate any support for our fund-raising! See you there!!!!

Hey guys, there has been a change to the 4th event for Townsville's Strongest 2022. We will no longer be doing the Dinnie Stone replica's and will now be doing a head-to-head Car Deadlift. Getting exact weight in the hand can be hard when there is a lot of physics involved, but I have attempted to give you a (rough) weight in the hand below. Again, it's worth mentioning that these weights are subject to change.

Men:
Opens: 260-280~
105's: 230-250~
90's: 220-240~
80's: 180-200~
70's and Novices: 160-180~

Ladies:
Opens: 170~
82's: 160~
72's: 150~
62's: 130~
52's and Novices: 115~

Here are the events for ! As you can see the weights for the fourth event are missing. I am still in the process of sourcing, weighing and processing some of the stones. I hope to finish this in the next 3 or so weeks. In order to help with your training, I give you the following tips: train it in the same position they perform a lift on the dinnie stones // we'll be using replica steel rings to lift the stones // I will be keeping the same ratio between front and back stones 1:0.78, meaning, if my front weight is 100kg the back weight is 78kg.
