Hosting an event can be stressful. Your brain gets full of noise with the constant worry of questions. Are my guests going to enjoy this event? Do they know where to sit, when to eat, when to dance, or even when to leave? But if you compare an event to a fire, do you want to just wing it and throw fuel at it whenever you get a chance? Your event, like a fire, may go from almost non-existent to a raging out of control inferno. As your event host, or MC, I will control that fire, stoking your event with a nice cosy amount of energy keeping you and your guests all warm and fuzzy with stories to tell for years to come So Fire UP!!!!!! Like, share, message me to host your next event.

I'm backkkkkk....damn flu got me good...let's talk about how it all works...once you have secured your date for the least boring MC you have ever sat in front of, I will book you in one month prior to fine tune the details for your event, 3 months beforehand I will ask for a deposit of 2 hours, its that easy!!!! If you have no clue how you want your event to run, ask and you shall receive. I can stick to script or wing it like I am here in this mad shot at a besties wedding. Don't forget I am not limited to just weddings. I host all sorts of events. Christmas is coming and bookings are flowing in so don't you miss out.

Let me inspire your next toast…. “Let us raise our glasses to the happy couple. May your life be long and your sorrows few, may you laugh hard together and be faithful, fond and true”…. cue the aahhhsss and ooohhhsss and then everybody has a clink and a drink. The drink to celebrate, honour or signify a meaningful occasion. So, what is your occasion that is so meaningful that you want to toast it? For me, it’s as easy as just getting through another day and my ‘toasting glass’ is my cup of weak black tea, no sugar, no milk, just hot hot hot water. My inner voice oohhs and aahs every time I get that cuppa so I can just sit, pause, relax and reflect on the day I have had, the jobs I didn’t get done but still survived, the washing I didn’t fold that decorates my couch, the teenagers life I upset tragically yet still seeks my opinion, the future plans I have made (some realistic, some not so much) that give me purpose, focus and direction. So tonight, please, find your ‘glass’ and raise it high and toast yourself. Then like, share and recommend this page to your nearest and dearest.

What makes a great MC? Message Jodi P Celebrations to find out. I have this beautiful body part when used correctly gets me what I want. Can you guess what it is? I will give you a clue…It starts with the letter V. Let me make you look good at your next wedding, party, seminar, conference or corporate event. After all, you are the main stars of the show. The term MC, or emcee, or master of ceremonies has been kicking around since the 5th century where churches would use an MC for the proper and smooth conduct of the elaborate rituals such as sacred liturgies. If you are looking to hire an MC then you are already regarding your event as sacred and elaborate so it makes sense that you should hire someone who will keep your event flowing smoothly, warm up the crowd and set the tone for your amazing event. Let’s not forget how much personality and flare I can add to this occasion. My love of microphones started with that horrible detangling hairbrush of Mums, Dads red Fergie tractor or loader bucket as a stage, my little sister on hand coming in with the harmonies and back-up vocals, and any stunned pet or sibling or poor visitor to home who stood still long enough was an audience. I can guarantee that as long as I am holding the microphone at your next event, your guests will be anything but stunned as I have come a long way since those Julia Creek days. Did you guess the answer to my riddle yet? Here are the clues again…Body part starts with V…Used by a woman who never shuts up….Will get her what she wants every time…It’s my Voice….I can’t wait to be the Voice at your next event.

Let me be your next story teller...Once upon a time there was lil big headed girl who loved windmills. But why? As a kid I thought they were the tallest most prettiest thing I had ever seen. In North West Qld they stood like a sky scraper against those flat Julia Creek plains.. It wasnt until 1993 on my first visit to a capiital city, Sydney that I realised why.. I got lost on school camp in Old Sydney Town so I sat under a windmill thinking that someone would find me soon..I started to read the sign that said replica of Nathaniel Lucas windmill. Well that was a JACKPOT!!! To 16yo me! Who would have thought that My family were windmill builders, so I should tell everyone. Turns out it was not much of a flex as a high schooler in the 90s and got me nowhere.. But if you fast forward to today....that flex is still not getting me anywhere. But what is getting me somewhere is that Nathaniel Lucas bore 6 sons and 6 daughters so he must have endured some tough days. I came along 5th in line to that grand old Lucas name of Neil, son of William, son of someone, son of someone and son of someone and and and. So with only 6 siblings, rather than 12, we still also had some tough days, and as adults we still do. But circle back to why I love a good windmill as an adult...it needs wind to operate. The feel of the wind in my hair face or neck grounds me to get me operating again...I seek that slightest breeze and it tells me to stop for a minute and take control. So what is your version of a windmill?? Some of my clients say its sand between their toes but they are too far from the beach...Well my friend go get a load of sand or put it on your next birthday or Christmas wish list. Because no matter what time of the day or night it is, and how tough it is , I will always seek that slightest breeze to reset and operate, just like that crazy old convict rello of mine must have, even though that according to Wikipedia died on a River Bank in Sydney ...my wish today is that you too will find that littlest thing to make you get out of bed and operate ###x
