Have you ever tried to make a fruit cake? For my daughter's first birthday I didn't want a cake full of sugar so I made one. Recently I was asked to make one for a customer and this was the result. I'm thinking to add it to the menu.

I decorated it with small pieces of fruit, roses, petals, chocolate and touches of gold ❤️. If you live in NSW and have tried 's delicious watermelon and strawberry cake you will know how amazing watermelon tastes with rose petals and strawberries. Inspired by that I added lots of edible rose petals, because yuuum

I don't know how you feel about this but I must confess I'm SO glad Easter is gone 🙊. Here is the thing: I AM ADDICTED to Chocolate. I am not saying this lightly. If I have chocolate in storage I WILL eat it. It doesn't matter I just had lunch, or how full I feel, or if it's not really mine (sorry dear daughter) or the time of the day. I filled my cheeks with delicious chocolate eggs and bunnies every single day with the excuse that the more I have the less sugar my daughter will consume 😉. It didn't help that I had all the stored goddies for the easter grazing platters (please send help)

My body urgently needs some rest and real nutrients after surviving in chocolate eggs for way too long. How did you go with the chocolate indulgence? Leave me a comment if you also love it as much 🤤

Easter inspired platter ❤️.

Being the perfectionists I am, the first thing that stands out to me on this picture is a sad prosciutto 😅.
Folding prosciutto to make beautiful ribbons is actually really easy, you just need the prosciutto to be SUPER COLD.
If you try at home, leave it in the freezer for 10 minutes before working with it and will work really well. In this case, when I was making the video (Will post it soon) I took it out few minutes before and it was almost room temperature when I folded them resulting on these sad little prosciutto friends 😢.

I just wanted to post to share that with you. Although I love a perfect picture, and would love my feed to be perfect, nothing is, nobody is. I was talking to a good customer the other day and we were talking about this. About being a bit vulnerable and show your mistakes so you can share your progress with others 💪.
Can't find the perfect wrapping up sentence and it's time to pickup my daughter soooo: talk soon!

A little something ❤️.
I actually made a tutorial with some tips on how to make this platter with things you can easily find in the supermarket and/or your fridge. Nothing fancy here ☺️ and there was not much emphasis on pairing, but that doesn't mean it can't be delicious!
Now the embarrassing part: the video was part of a longer YouTube video produced by lovely Tracey from and out of the 5 minutos that it was supposed to last, I got carried away and recorded a half an hour video which I had to edit to the point that I'm not sure it made sense anymore and also my head is cut for the whole shooting 🤣. Credits to myself for trying to be a pro and using 2 camera angles 😂

There are so many hours behind a Luxe Picnic setup. It starts with the design and theme, then shopping, restocking and folding, ironing, storing, packing, loading, unloading, setting up, then cleaning, loading again and unloading one last time in our store room (AKA our garage 😂). But then the hard part starts 😅: Cleaning rugs, washing: Oh MY...THE Washing. So 👏. Much👏. Washing👏.

You don't see any of these and we wouldn't want you to. We just want you to arrive to your chosen spot and see this picture: nothing else (And then keep recommending us to all the people you know 🙃 )

If I think of a perfect breakfast grazing box (for me) then freshly baked croissant, waffles and chocolate sauce are a given, but I'm thinking to create one with iced coffee or orange juice. It's very limited space, but I want everything in it!

We have survived 2 very hard, stressful, challenging years. I truly hope 2022 is a bit kinder with each one of you and your families. But more than anything I hope we are kinder to each other, despite our differences in opinions, complexion, background and vaccination status. Because something we should have learnt after these past 2 years is that we are in this together. We are so susceptible to the most tiny thing. But I like to think we are not alone, at the very least we have each other ❤️ (if we want it)

Apparently Christmas is finished 😅. And January is almost over. It's so hard for me to go back to my normal self and to let go after the holidays (I just took the Christmas tree down today 🙈). That includes being here and show up. I have so many pictures of Christmas platters, but it's a bit embarrassing to continue posting ginger bread man until February 🤣 , so it will be just this one and tomorrow one of new year and that's it I promise!.
I do have to thank you all of you for supporting this little dream that is this business. Sometimes I don't know what to say after a 'I love your work'. Sometimes I change the subject, or give a shy 'thank you', but it means the world to me: every time you order, every time you recommend, tag, review, give a like to my posts, it gives me all the warm feelings. What do you think of the terracotta theme? I love the pinks, specially pastel tones, but this earthy theme is just so beautiful. In this kind of setup I like to use preserved cotton plant, gum tree and bunny tales arrangements. I think they pair perfectly with the earthy colours, giving a soft texture and perfect contrast with the dark cotton plant branches 😍, the soft green almost blue/grey of the gum tree leaves brings the balance to the terracotta tones. LOVING IT! How about you? Are you pink team or earthy team?

I love making this round grazing tray 😀. It's a wooden tray 40 cm of diameter and it's been a best seller for the last few months (thank you everyone 🥰). It can be customised for any occasion but the favourite is the luxury breakfast that includes a balloon arrangement with a customised message (swipe 👉 to see the blue and gold presentation)

Although it depends on the time of the day, this tray usually includes freshly baked croissants, so-many-type-of-cheese, ham of the bone, prosciutto, fresh fruits, honeycomb and delicious, beautiful and healthy wafers from among other delicious treats. I just need to add: Always chocolate. I would feel disappointed if I don't find any chocolate in a charcuterie board. What is the must have ingredient for you?

My friend Gaby from .lights_ and I have been working on this Collab to bring you (and us 😋) a very special breakfast/tea time box.

The inspiration came with the celebration of Chilean independence day which is celebrated on the 18th of September, but we happily continue drinking, ahem, celebrating for weeks to come.

This year on September 18th Colombia celebrates the day of 'love and friendship'. It's the equivalent to Valentine's day, except that is in September, not sure why 😅. I looked it up and couldn't find the reason (if you know please let me know), but who am I to question another reason to celebrate!

It's been nearly a year since I started making surprise breakfasts and it's been a long process to find the look that I really like. I had to learn about balloons, garlands, wrapping and and many things that had little to do with breakfasts. But to me every little detail is important, because I know that if I was the customer I would be so picky 🙈.

One of the things that took me the longest to 'master' (I'm still far from it) is balloons! I couldn't find the right way, how many to use, what combinations, how to wrap them together. I invite you to go and check on my feed a couple of breakfast that I posted at the beginning. Now I look at them and I cringe. But I haven't deleted them because those pictures keep me humble. And I hope they give you some inspiration to continue trying to do whatever you want to do, because it does get easier and you do get better

Father's day boxes are here! Yayyyyy, am I the one one excited about father's day in lockdown? Probably 🤣, but I just love to put a mat/rug on the floor and snack away! There's no washing dishes, no cooking and my daughter loves it, I love it...what is not to like.
