🌈🌈⭐️⭐️🐴🐴 Ever wonder what our beautiful ponies get up to when they are not make events ponytastic? Today Louie practiced different obstacles around the paddocks. He trots over polls, walks over bridges and practices going in and out of small spaces. These challenges enable Louie to further his skill set, enrich his mind and help him when he is faced with challenges at events in the future. At Little Ryders Pony Rides we make our ponies’ wellbeing top priority. 🐴🐴🦄🦄🦄🌈🌈⭐️⭐️

🌈🌈🦄🦄⭐️⭐️At Little Ryders, our ponies receive 5 star care to ensure they are always happy and healthy. They have regular dental checks, teeth cleaning and health checks to ensure they remain beautiful happy and safe ponies for every Little Ryder who rides them. We are very grateful to Paul Owens, our talented and caring Vet Dentist for taking such wonderful care of our ponies 🦷🦷⭐️⭐️🌈🌈🦄

We at Little Ryders are devastated by the the news of David’s passing. He was always very kind to all our ponies at every race event we attended. Our deepest condolences to his family. He will be sorely missed.
Vale HARC President David Purcell.
It’s with sadness that the the HARC Committee advises that our president, David Purcell passed away last Wednesday, after a long and courageous battle with Leukaemia.
David was a tireless contributor to our club, serving on the committee for over 13 years - with the last 11 as President, guiding us through some of the most turbulent years, in the clubs history - Covid, storms and floods to name just a few. A leader amongst leaders and he will be sorely missed here at our race club.
David was also a representative on the Picnic Working Group, advocating on matters for all picnic clubs and participants. David also made significant contributions to the local community through his involvement with various clubs and organisations.
The HARC Committee extends its deepest sympathies to David’s partner Alissa, his family and friends.
David will be farewelled with a service at Healesville Racecourse on July 6.
More information will follow in a further post when known.

Teddy loves his sparkling apple juice after his trim!
Much like our nails, the ponies’ hooves will grow continually if not maintained. As such, the hooves must be trimmed to keep them in shape. Only wild horses can survive without any trimming at all, because their hooves are worn down over time by constant action over hard terrain. If a pony is forced to walk with overgrown hooves, they have to compensate for it which means they are essentially walking on the balls of their feet, which stretches the tendons and can lead to lameness.
