Reflecting on motherhood on my first Mother’s Day with a baby of my own, I realise the day is about so much more than just breakfast in bed and a day off cooking.

It’s about celebrating all women, not only our strength but also our struggles. It’s a day about celebrating those grieving motherhood - whether they’ve lost their own mum, are struggling on their journey to start a family of their own.

I feel so blessed to have so incredible strong women that serve as role models in Eevee’s life. She’s going to grow up surrounded by ambitious, talented, creative and caring souls - and today I’m celebrating them 🖤

IN SEASON | One of the first things you’ll realise about our creative director Kath is that she’s a huge foodie, so to style an event celebrating the launch of ’s seasonal menu was a match made in heaven 🍴⁠

It’s an absolute honour to be included on this list alongside some planners that we absolutely love! We’ve just been over here, creating magic for all of our couples, so it’s beyond a dream to get noticed and recognised by this international platform.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY | Today is our four year wedding anniversary, and let’s just say it looks a little different than the last three 🍼

To JC, thank you for everything you do for me, Eevee and Bow. You’re the best husband, dad and CFO I could ever ask for!

Looking back through our wedding photos reminds me how special that time is and makes me pinch myself that I get to do it over and over again alongside some amazing couples.

BOW’S GUIDE TO | Melbourne is renowned for its industrial edge, so there is no surprise that warehouse weddings are incredibly popular! Here are our top five tips for you to keep in mind when styling an event in an industrial space...

1 - Create warmth
Lighting is key! Go for natural ambience with warm, flickering candlelight and watch the space be transformed 🕯️

2 - Soften your surrounds
Use fluidity to soften a harsh space or modern lines. Play with fabric to add fluidity and softness. Whether it’s suspended from ceilings and walls or drapes across tablescapes - it’ll help break up the clean lines with something more fluid and romantic.

3 - Say it with scale
In a large industrial space small details will get lost, so to make an impact you need to create drama with scale. Elevate or suspend floral installations, go for high reaching branches and go oversized on the candles!

4 - Use earthy colour palettes
Using warm, neutral and earthy tones will add further warmth while tying in perfectly. For a bit of elegance, go for gold accents like your cutlery.

5 - Texture, texture, texture!
Warehouses are filled with beautiful textured of their own, so draw attention to this and add interest through juxtaposition and contrast.

INTRODUCING BABY BOW | She’s here everyone! Everly (Eevee, for all you playing at home 😉) came into the world four weeks early on the 8th of September.

Both Mum and Bub are both doing well. Despite her early entrance, Eevee weighed a delicious 2.46kg!

A reminder to all that Kath is on strict maternity leave until November. Georgie, Ellie and Izzy will be responding to all enquiries and working with our couples in the lead up to their weddings.

STYLING TIPS | Want to stretch your floral budget as far as possible, and get the most bang for your buck? Save this post for later my dear friends! 🖤

It’s all about knowing where they will make the most impact. The key? Think about your photos.

Having a flower arbor that you will stand in front of for your ceremony is the perfect spot for statement blooms, because it will be in most of your ceremony photos.

Then think about how you can get the most mileage out of this one install for the rest of the day by repurposing it to another significant space at your reception.

One of our favourite transitions is to around your cake - perfect for those cute cake cutting snaps!

The wedding party table is another area that gets a lot of eyeballs - from candid loved up chats to speeches.
