Wanna know what life was like for Women In Australia 60 odd years ago? 🙃

✈️ a woman needed her husbands permission to catch an international flight

🏦 a woman needed her husbands permission to open a bank account

🙅‍♀️ a woman needed her husbands permission to get a divorce (😳)

💍 a woman got fired from any public service job if you got married

🤰a woman DEFINITELY got fired from any public service job (amongst others) if you got knocked up

🍺 women weren’t allowed in the public bar of most pubs around Oz UNTIL 1970 (they had to wait in the ‘ladies lounge’ or the CAR for their hubby to bring them a Creaming Soda 🥤😵‍💫)

The list goes on.

We’ve come a LONG way…but we’ve got a long way to go ( , anyone? 🤑)

🌺 NOVEMBER 25 - longtime Nick Cave and PJ Harvey collaborator Mick Harvey joins forces with J.P. Shilo (Roland S Howard, Blackeyed Susans) to present Shilo’s Invisible You and new, exclusive material from Harvey with Mexican singer Amanda Aveco.

🌼 NOVEMBER 26 - a cabaret feast with Michaela Burger’s acclaimed show A Migrant Son, Ameila Ryan and Libby O’Donovan’s much-loved I Am Woman before the late-night Supper Club gives the weekend a raucous finale! Not to be missed!

We're planning on rescheduling UNSUNG to our next Seasonal Sessions weekend on August 20th - 6pm.

Ticket buyers will be contacted with refund/ reschedule options through Fringe Tix.

Writer and broadcaster Clementine Ford has made her name as one of Australia's most provocative feminists. Living on Wurundjeri country in Naarm/Melbourne, Clementine originally created and performed Love Sermon at Sydney Opera House's 2022 festival.

You can expect Love Sermon to be a live performance of her latest book, How we Love: Notes on a Life. This book explores romantic, platonic and familial love, in all its joy and heartache, strength and vulnerability.
