Mid week NOIM and planning meeting for J&L all ready to go 🥰
Throw back to a whole week ago where I did my thing and married high school sweethearts Cheryse and Dion. We laughed through the ceremony, perfect vibe, perfect weather.
Scene set for Cheryse and Dion 🥰
😁🥰 something I'm also passionate about! Yeah the boys 💪
Coming down from this weekends wedding high!
A perfect ceremony yesterday for Sian and Ash.
A love story that started over 20 years ago as friends but then found love in each other just over 5 years ago.
So much love and fun. Sian and Ash were super chill and the weather held off. 🥰 So honoured to marry these two!
I love this part! When I print all the official certificates.
Busy day in the office this weekend. Planning meetings, finishing off the final touches for upcoming weddings! 🥰
You know what... I feel like I've done my job well when a recent bride knocks on your door with flowers and chocolates. I certainly don't expect this but knowing I made a difference on their day puts a massive smile on my dial! 😍
All ready to go for a sunset ceremony for J & R 🥰 I freaking love what I do.
What's your plan B? ⛈️☔️
With this rainy weather over the weekend, it saw an increase of Brides posting in the wedding pages that I'm apart of. Requesting to know where they can buy clear or white umbrellas last minute. 😱
For outdoor weddings, it's super important to have a contingency plan from day 1 of wedding planning. It's something I will speak about at all my NOIM meetings.
It's just a plan. Ideas. A back up plan. Having that will mean less stress in the lead up should it look like rain on your wedding day.
For the record. Rain on your wedding day isn't such a bad thing. Your photos will be amazing! Just be prepared 😉
Nehhh look..... At least the re-telling of their proposal at their wedding will be a good one 🤣
Great day for celebrating 🥰👰♀️🤵♂️
Just checkin you're not gunna leave me at the alter right? 🤣
Long post but lets look behind the scenes.
Question: Why are celebrants so expensive? Its 20 minutes work... Answer: Very wrong!
The 20 minute ceremony is just the icing on the cake for your celebrant. Let me run this through for you.
Most good celebrants spend on average 12 to 14 hours planning your ceremony.
There's travel (sometimes twice) to your venue. There's hours of putting together legal paperwork. Hours of meeting with you and getting to you know. Hours of writing your ceremony, personalising it for just for you. Hours of back and forth communication with you. Plus so much more.
Not all of us celebrants are created equal. Make sure you choose a celebrant that is going to support you, explain things to you, make you calm and most importantly know what they're doing. We've spent months studying marriage laws.
We also pay yearly registration fees and insurances.
An average celebrant in Brisbane costs $700-900. Now divide that by 12/14 hours. It's really not that much.
Did you know without a celebrant your day is just an expensive party? A celebrant has the ability to mess up your day with their incompetentcy so choose right!! We are literally the most important vendor to your day yet there's more budget allocated to cake, shoes and flowers 😱 always blows my mind!
My advice. Prioritise your budget. Broken down, your bottom of the average $700 celebrant is well worth what they do for your day 🥰
Kicked off the year yesterday with a beautiful commitment ceremony for Anthony and Rach in front of their closest family members. Smaller ceremonies are becoming a norm and I find they are so beautiful and intimate 🥰 Enjoy your forever together guys x
Hello there 2024, you beautiful thing! I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. It was great weather for ducks!
Who's getting married this year? Was any one engaged over Christmas/NY? Tell me the dets!
I need to know. How do we all feel about this? 😂
It was always a thing
It's been a while since I've spoken about me! So hello to all my new loverz! My name is Loretta Lindsay and I'm an authorised marriage celebrant servicing most parts of South East Queensland.
I've been a celebrant for nearly 4 years and I just LOVE what I do. Weddings are my favourite because I love, love. I get swept up in hearing all about a couples story. From their beginnings to now and their future plans. I love being the person that stands there and helps a couple cement their story.
My goal is to make your ceremony as stress free as possible. The more calm you are the more you will enjoy and remember it. I do this by making sure we have as much communication as possible. I make sure you understand the paperwork, where you need to sign etc. I am reassuring and your calm on the day.
I listen to you and give ideas to make your ceremony just the way you like it.
If needed, I come with all the bells and whistles like a top of the range PA system and signing table.
Lastly, I'm mum and a wife. My family is the most important to me so I understand how important your family is to you and how best to include them in your ceremony.
I cant wait to keep on cementing love stories. What an incredible job I have 🥰🥰
Much love x

🍾 My personal ceremony ritual 🗒
As you all know, I have just celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary.
During our ceremony we did something really special and I'm so glad we did.
We sealed our hand written vows to each other in a box with a bottle of cellar wine.
The idea was, that we open the box on big anniversaries and read our vows to each other over the bottle of wine. Or perhaps we open the box if we were in troubled times to remind us of those vows we made to each other.
We first opened the box on our 5th anniversary. The wine was drunk then ;). But we sealed it back up and that's how it stayed for the next 5 years.
We opened it again on our 10th anniversary and read them to each other again. It was beautiful and just as emotional as our wedding day if not more.
I have lots of ideas how you can add a ritual into your ceremony to really create a personal memory that can gift for years to come. You'll appreciate it as much as I do. I promise.

Weekend just gone, my husby and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary 😱🥰
We shared a beautiful weekend away at Maleny and he gifted me with my eternity ring!
So perfect ❤️ So special ❤️
It's only been ten years so I don't have all the answers yet but what I know is, marriage is beautiful and rewarding but it's not always smooth sailing. Its something that needs attention every day.
Communicate and talk things through no matter the subject. Together, celebrate your successes and comfort each other through your lows. I am so grateful everyday that I have my best friend by my side. After all how good is that "what do you want for dinner?" "I dunno, want to you want?" Arguement... Every. Single. Night. 🤣🤣😘
To ensure your marriage is valid there are legal requirements in relation to your Marriage Vows. The great news is you can still have personalised vows to each other. Talk with your Celebrant about how best to include your beautiful words to each other.
Now you see me! I'm so happy with my new car signage 🥰
Today I get to marry G & I. After some late night confirmation messages last night to the beautiful bride, I was reminded why I do what I do and why I love what I do. Cementing a 17 year old love story. Just perfect.
Make sure you do your wedding, your way 😉😂
😬😬
Look at me go!! I have reached 100 followers! Thank you for your continued support. I could not have done it without each of you. 🙏🤗🎉
Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of marrying Tyler and Danielle. A beautiful, intimate ceremony with their kids and witnesses present. So perfect. ❤️
Off to my last wedding for 2022!
No one would ever marry me 🤣 its not pretty!
