After 20 years of marriage, Romana and Steve decided to celebrate with a vow renewal with their family and friends. They decided to hold their celebrations at the Sure Thing Chapel at Capalaba, with it’s whimsical styling, and capacity for 40 guests in air conditioned comfort. (Although this party had over 75 guests, spilling into the private carpark in true festival style).
The guests all arrived, dressed in black and white, and were greeted with hugs and champagne. The venue was styled with colourful blooms and décor. Steve wore a snazzy shiny silver suit and Romana wore a sparkly silver beaded dress. She was glammed up by Jo from Twidale.
Steve and Romana entered the ceremony space, preceded by their children Jalen and Aysia, their proudest accomplishments. The song for their entry was sung by Jo and Layla, their original wedding song, Angel Eyes by Paulini. Jo was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Romana and Steve twenty years ago. Their other bridesmaid, Sonya, also travelled from Western Australia for the renewal party.

After 16 years together, R & M decided on a simple, genuine elopement. With an epic holiday planned, they decided to celebrate their union on the day beforehand, and turn their trip into a honeymoon.
The couple contacted the team at Elope Brisbane to take care of the planning.
On their wedding day, we met M at the Lighthouse at Cleveland Point. He was casually debonair in chinos and a light blue shirt.
R arrived at the location, switching out her usual floppy bun for curls, and her daily site trousers and boots for a slinky, champagne coloured dress with heels. She brought along a matching faux fur bolero in case the breeze was cool. The transformation was amazing - she totally rocked the glamorous look!
After some simple vows, we signed the marriage certificates, and within 10 minutes, the couple were legally married.
The afternoon sunshine sparkled on the bay, providing beautiful photo opportunities.
The couple headed back home to pack for their holiday, and the Elope Brisbane team celebrated another successful elopement with delicious calamari from the Lighthouse Fish and Chippery.

With their facial piercings and tattoos, Angel and Sebastien don't look like the most conventional couple. But when it came to their wedding day, they wanted the fairy tale wedding, with a white dress and a veil (and black lipstick) and flowers.
They contacted the team at Elope Brisbane to make it happen for them with minimal fuss and outlay.
Miss Weddings set up a timber arbour with white draping, white flowers and green foliage in the Palm Tree Lawn at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens. White Americana chairs were set out for their guests.
Angel was proudly walked down the aisle with her mum and her grandmother. The three bridesmaids wore dusty mauve and olive green. Sebastien was waiting at the end of the aisle with his best gals, Darsey and Shekinah.
Angel and Sebastien have found such unconditional love with each other, and this was reflected in the beautiful vows they made to each other.
After a few photos around the gardens, the couple joined their guests at a celebratory dinner.

Claire & Travis’ Perfect (non-rainy) Wedding Day
With a high chance of rain forecasted, Claire and Travis were all prepared for a wet wedding, and were totally fine with it. Afterall we can’t control the weather, so no point in stressing… just prepare! Also, did you know, it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day?
But as it turned out, come 9.30am, there wasn’t a dark cloud in the sky. It was a perfect Autumn morning.
We absolutely loved how excitable this Bride and Groom were about getting hitched. And after being together for six and a half years, everyone present agreed that it was about time! Only wanting the simplest of occasions shared with their absolute immediates, Claire and Travis enjoyed a classic, yet easy-going ceremony with some heartfelt words that really reflected them as a couple. Stood alongside them, their dear, supportive and very proud friends took on the role of the Bridal party, while their darling baby daughter Willow, looked on in sheer delight while sitting on Grandma’s knee. Absolutely adorable.
Following their story and a number of giggles later they were asked, ‘Are you ready to enter into this marriage together’ a shriek of excitement came from both the Bride and Groom, and then a cheer from the guests…’Yay…then let’s get you married!’
Following the ‘I do’s’, came the genuine and humorous personal vows, then the legal vows while exchanging rings. And BOOM! We have the Newly-Weds!!
The Elope Brisbane team did it again, working together as a team with ease, matching the upbeat vibe and mingling with the guests, it was certainly a memorable day for all. Wishing the happy couple joy, laughter and happy memories together.

Dee Dee and Sam mixed and matched a little tradition and a little quirkiness for their own unique wedding party. They started with an engagement party in the backyard of their new home, inviting friends and family from near and far.
On the following Sunday morning, they celebrated their legal marriage ceremony with an intimate and legal wedding at their home.
Sam wore a three piece blue suit, with a fresh hair cut, shiny shoes, and a blue tie. He told Dee Dee that she challenged him and encouraged him, and his life had been one big adventure since they met.
Dee Dee wore a fabulous embossed mini dress by Elliatt, with Doc Marten boots, topped with a bridal white veil. Her luminous smile sparkled more than her jewelled earrings, as she surprised Sam with her apt vows.
