It was such an honour to be asked to play such a big part in Jessie and Clinton's special day.

These two had the cutest ever asking, inspired by the Adam Sandler song "Grow Old With You."

The ceremony included a reading of "The Giraffe and the Monkey" by Daniel Thompson (absolutely beautiful little poem) 🥲

I performed pre ceremony music, sung Jessie down the aisle, officiated the ceremony, live reception music, DJ music, and was the MC for the night. I got to work with and am excited to share her (and Sam's) amazing photos 😍

About me, part two.

Way back in 2008 I was on Australian Idol. I got to the top 40, and my local newspaper did an article on me. All I spoke about was Dicko calling me a dag 🙃

I wear gym clothes most days, mainly because I always plan on going to the gym. Don't worry, I'll get dressed up for your big day.

70% of the time, I sing with my eyes shut, except when I have to read the chart. If you come to meet me at a gig, make sure you say hi. Otherwise, I might not see you.

I am terrified of snakes, especially after a friend of mine told me she had been bitten by a brown snake at Fraser and ended up being air lifted off the island to the hospital.

In grade 7, for school sports I got 2nd in Australia for female discus. By grade 8 I decided it would be more fun to play volleyball with my friends. That was the end of discus for me.

My eldest son's birthday is 11/11/11.
I'm not sure when my other two were born (just kidding 🤔).

I was born in Sydney, and my dad used to take me to watch Manly Sea Eagles, but that doesn't determine what Origin team I go for.

I watched The Simpsons so many times as a kid that I often make one liners from the show thinking everyone will get it. "I choo choo choose you. Get it?! It's got a picture of a train on it."

A little bit about me

My full name is Amanda Jane Jensen

Im 30something years old.

I've been a musician for 20 years (over half my life 😳)

I have three children

I studied to become a celebrant during the covid lockdown because home schooling my kids wasn't busy enough 🙃

I love salmon with crispy skin, but only when it's on special 🤭

My favourite TV show ever is The Walking Dead... it's a great storyline if you can look past the zombies. (Yes, I've watched all 16 seasons and the spin-offs)

I have my Real Estate Licence (please don't hold that against me)

If we catch up, my choice of drink is always the largest cup of cappuccino they have

Maybe we have something in common, maybe we don't. One thing is for sure, if you are getting married, I can definitely help you with that.

Don't have a signing table? That's okay, I've got your back... well I'll get us a back. The groom's father, John, was such a good sport, letting us borrow his for a few minutes. It's a different but useful way to get family members involved in the ceremony 😆

Personal vows are a beautiful and unique part of a ceremony. But, hey, I get it, not everyone is a fan of public speaking. Some couples prefer to pour their hearts onto paper and exchange letters on the morning of their big day. Others might opt for a meaningful reading or lyrics from their favourite song, which I, as the celebrant, can share. There's no golden rule, just do what feels right for you!

It started to drizzle during their ceremony just before the signing. The guests were armed with umbrellas, but we made the call to do the signing of documents after the ceremony in this cosy and dry corner.
If you do get a bit of rain on your wedding day, don't worry. It gives the opportunity for amazing photos when picking the right photographer like .

So about yesterday's wedding...
Wow! The ceremony spot is just breathtaking.

I had the privilege of being the celebrant and the musician. After the ceremony I moved into the barn itself for some chilled acoustic music 🎵
