Today we said goodbye to our beautiful little boy Vince.
A huge personality, a big attitude and a huge heart in a little package.
We rescued him from the Lost Dog's Home, but what we didn't realise was that he would rescue us, and teach us about love and life and how important it is to laugh.
Vincey has been an integral part of our life in Maldon. We would walk him around the town, and joke that he thought he was the king. He had a twinkle in his eye and we knew that if we didn't catch him he would be off; exploring, chasing kangaroos and running up and down Mt Tarrengower until several hours later when he would trot back through the gate exhausted.
His most favourite thing in the world was food, and luckily for him he lived next to the cafe, and he would take every opportunity to get into the cafe kitchen and the cafe.
He would come into the kitchen and sit on someone's foot until some scraps came his way.
If he could, he would get into the cafe and it would be a mad dash to catch him as he ran around customers and under tables.
The best game ever was being chased.
He also danced, out of sheer delight for a piece of good food, for fun or for a joke.
He smiled when I held him, and he taught us to laugh and have more fun.
Not everyone understood him, but those who did loved him deeply and will miss him terribly.
