Our top tips for table details to ensure you have a beautiful tablescape…

🩶 Lux floor length table cloths - If you’re planning to have cloths, be sure to get quality material that cover those table legs.

🩶 Quality cutlery and glassware - a must for creating the aesthetically pleasing tablescape

🩶 Don’t forget to line everything perfectly for those all important finishing touches - chair, cutlery, plate, glassware….

LETS TALK FOOD…
Canapés, Shared Feast, Plated!

When it comes to planning your wedding, whether a foodie or not, we can almost garuntee that the food will play a key component in the style and feel for the day.

From long table dining, or a more relaxed service style, it’s great to get an understanding of exactly what’s on offer and expectations surrounding pricing.

🍤 Canapés
Be social, enjoy delicious food and relax on the formalities and flow of the day.
With quality ingredient, extensive prep time & extra staff to serve - the costs quickly add up.

Pros ~ variety in food, the option to add in a food station and ability to save in other areas - think furniture hire and styling of reception tables.

Cons ~ Your guests may find they need to be in “the right place, at the right time” or go searching for the food they would like to eat.

Hint - It doesn’t mean less food.

🥗Shared Banquet
Typically the most popular option. Think of family meal times, where dishes are placed in the middle and everyone helps themselves.

Pros ~ Encourages guests to interact and creates conversation. Guests choose the food they love and leave what they don’t.

Cons ~ caterer can’t guarantee how much each individual will eat, so with this, prices can sometimes be a little higher due to over compensating, and with this may come some wastage.

*Chat to your wedding team about wider tables and styling, to allow space for shared platters.

🍽️ Plated
The options are endless, from alternate drop, to pre order and even degustation (for our micro wedding).

Pros ~ The ability to give choice to your guests, to customise to suit your theme or limit this to accomodate your budget.

Cons ~ for some, the lack of options may prove difficult and cause guests to switch plates at dinner or not eat. A pre order will also create considerable workload in the pre planning.

✨Follow these steps✨
1. Consider the style of wedding you want to achieve.
2. Find a venue that has capacity for your guests and accommodates the catering style you would like.
3. If needed, book your caterer early to ensure you don’t miss out!
