Are you ready for Christmas? If not Petals and Paintbrushes with Kookaburra Nook will be participating in the SJ Shire Christmas Market! This will be at Mungijong from 4pm - 8pm and filled with festive delights!

Its November so that means it’s time to start getting ready for Christmas! I’ve been working hard to create a range of beautiful gifts for this celebration and these are all my floral photoframes.

Another bonus to these frames is they have all been upcycled and repurposed to create these gifts. I pick the photoframes up from second hand shops making sure they are not damaged then clean them up to use in my floral art.

I’ve planted my spring seeds and there all coming up however I made a big gardening mistake. I thought my cockscomb seed weren’t going to germinate as they didn’t last time so I dumped all of them into a plant pot and now I had to spend all day separating them. So I guess I’ve learnt my lesson that if at first you don’t succeed… try again!

My calendula have all self seeded and sprouted in my garden so I’ve thinned them out a little and will be bringing calendula seedlings with me to the on the 1st of July for anyone who is interested in growing their own.

It’s December 3rd! School is finishing for the year and Christmas is on its way. So I’m down here at the SJ Farmers Market with all the presents, gifts and decorations you could need.

Finally finished cleaning up and recovering after the food and farm festival. It was a big day full of fun and I hope all those that went enjoyed it!

I had the honour providing my floristry for a funeral. It is always nice to add that personal touch such as their favourite colour or flowers. It was a beautiful service and I hope my work did it justice.
