We are sadden and frustrated as hell to have to postpone once again this huge event with all the covid lock downs happening and not allowing people/fighters to travel.

To all the fighters, fans and supporters we will be back this year. You mark our words! We have a new date set in October and we will re-release the event once the particulars have changed!

Aguilera comes from Melbourne, Victoria and trains under one of the great coaches of Australian, MMA 5 time Olympian, Cris Brown at Adrenaline MMA & Fitness . After his last fight was cancelled vs David Martinez (I am sure there will be words said on social media and the microphone after each others fights) he has changed his attitude and is going from one of the nice guys of MMA to the baddest man in MMA and looks to make a statement at Battleground.

Hailing from the beautiful city of Bowen and currently residing in Townsville is local Taela Kelly. Kelly is very well known around the scene for taking on all comers and he proves that again by taking on David Martinez. Turning professional in 2013, Taela has had trouble getting local fights and thus has always flown into the big smoke to compete. He is super excited to
be fighting in front of his friends and family for the first time ever in his 11 fight career.

Once touted as Australian Lightweight number 1, David Martinez will be looking to show everyone in Townsville why that was the case. The super strong grappler fighting out of the Sunshine Coasts, Ignite Martial Arts Academy was at one stage riding a 15 fight winning streak from Amateur through to a perfect 6-0 professional record, capturing
