Have a wet weather option peeps and don’t be afraid to call it!

On my wedding day, it was the worst storms in seven years during the October wedding season at the Hunter Valley . I admit, I was a pelican who was adamant that rain hail or shine, the ceremony was happening outside. I was lucky enough to have staff that called it for me however I have been to weddings where this has not happened.

As a celebrant, I’m happy to do what ever the couple want however… from a guests perspective… this dampens the mood for the rest of the night and can impact people’s energy levels to really get into the party! My advise is to have a wet weather option you are happy with so that if you have to call it, you can 😘

Legally you are going to need a celebrant to conduct the “legal parts” to a ceremony but have you considered having a friend or family member run the ceremony?

Using a friend or family member to conduct the wedding ceremony can add a personal touch and sentimental value to the proceedings. It can also help create a more intimate and relaxed atmosphere. Additionally, having a loved one officiate the ceremony can potentially save costs!
