Bacterial Blend is a DJ and Producer hailing from Fondi, Italy. He embarked on his journey into the world of drum and bass in 2013.

Having earned the opportunity to share the stage with internationally renowned a@rtists such as Spor, Spy, Concord Dawn, Sinister Souls, Zombie Cats, Aphrodite, Benny L, Serum, Marcus Intalex, and IHR, amongst many others, Bacterial Blend has solidified his presence in the global drum and bass scene. Presently, he resides in Naarm (Melbourne, AU), where he has seamlessly integrated into the local music community, becoming a familiar figure in the drum and bass circuit.

Helix, hailing from the UK, has become a familiar face of the scene since moving to Melbourne. He’s known to bring the vibes to his sets, drawing for deep and soulful tunes to the dark and techy sonics of the underground.

Back home Helix has supported the likes of Serum, Particle, Sota and Zoro, as well as 1991 and Napes here in Melbourne.

MELTA’s bold & gritty selections have quickly earned her a respected place in Naarm’s bass music community. A true bass fiend to her core, when she’s not dishing out girthy rollers you’ll find her front row on the dancefloor.

She’s supported international heavyweights Jappa, Napes, T>I, Pola & Bryson and Annix and also performed festivals Touch Bass, Esoteric & SubTerra in VIC as well as Eden Festival (NT).
Her style flows from minimal & liquid to chunky jump up, rollers and jungle as well as UKG, dubstep and bassline, with a particular fondness for high energy & dark drum & bass.

Her unique selections are guaranteed to keep the floor shaking and your body moving.

A vocal advocate for the broader community, she’s buried in bass both in front and behind the scenes, curating immersive local and international events with her own brand SUB:SOLAR and coordinating events with the Twisted Audio team.

In 2002 Monkee was first exposed to a booming underground electronic music scene in Perth and instantly fell in love. With drum and bass at the core of the scene in Perth, Monkee set out to bring the music he loves to Melbourne.

Over the past 15 years Monkee has built a reputation as one of Melbourne’s most loved and renowned DJs, playing support to a long list of the worlds top bass music artists while featuring regularly on major festival lineups, most notably his performances with Dyzlexic at Esoteric from 2018 – 2023 🪐

009: SEEDLING

Currently residing in Naarm (Melbourne, AU), Seedling's sound is a diverse spread of dubstep and drum and bass to progressive psytrance and techno. Chunky bass is her flavour and she is heavily influenced by the outdoor music and arts scene. The darker, dirtier and weirder, the better - she thrives on the darker, grittier, and more eclectic sounds.

008: Stackpackers

Consisting of Sara and Joe, born in the UK and now based in Melbourne/Naarm. Renowned for their electrifying performances and distinctive sound, Stackpackers have built a reputation for performing captivating sets that showcase their unique blends and high-energy tracks. Once solidified in the DJing scene, they established Nocturne, an events brand with a focus on heavy, high energy Drum and Bass raves. Their early years on the UK rave circuit immersed them in bass-filled warehouses and vibrant fields. The duo mix and produce Drum & Bass, alongside a diverse range of music that encompasses genres such as House, Psytrance, and 140.

Sara and Joe met in Tabulam, NSW, whilst completing their 88 days of regional work for their Working Holiday Visas. The pair quickly bonded over their love of Drum & Bass and travelling. Upon returning to Melbourne, they immersed themselves in the local music scene, honing their craft through weekly open deck nights at Sub Club. It wasn't long before Stackpackers formed, marking the inception of their musical partnership.

In March 2024 Stackpackers closed the main stage of the first edition of Touch Bass in Melbourne, with Twisted Audio, playing straight after Wilkinson, Kanine and Sota. Stackpackers have also shared the stage with Bou & B Live 24/7, Basstripper, Camo & Krooked, Terrence & Phillip, Turno, Mefjus, Subsonic, S.P.Y, Mozey, Benny L, Inja, Keeno, Whiney & P Money, Mollie Collins, Pola & Bryson, Smilk, and Dub Phizix & Strategy. Recently, they have been focusing on producing music, with self-released track 'Run' going off in the rave.

Defect, hailing from Aotearoa. With a captivating blend of bass-heavy rhythms and soulful melodies, Defect has been honing his craft for over four years.

Before stepping behind the decks, Defect showcased his musical prowess as a bass player in various professional bands. This experience provided him with a deep understanding of rhythm, groove, and the ability to connect with the audience on a intermate level.

Having spent time living and playing in the music scene of Vancouver, BC, Defect absorbed the diverse sounds and cultures, shaping his eclectic style. While his primary focus remains on the soulful depths of drum and bass, he tastefully incorporates elements from related genres, infusing his sets with flavors of halftime, jungle & 140. His sets are a testament to his passion for the more melodic side of the spectrum, evoking powerful emotions while maintaining an infectious energy.

Currently based in the music mecca of Melbourne/Naarm, Defect has not only embraced the digital age but has remained steadfast in his dedication to vinyl. A collector at heart, his love for vinyl has transcended into his performances. With a keen ear for selection, he takes the dancefloor on an enchanting journey, allowing the tunes to breathe and granting listeners the space to fully appreciate each musical gem.

Defect's DJ sets are characterized by their melodic blends. His ability to read the crowd and respond to their energy levels is second nature, ensuring that every performance is a unique and unforgettable experience.

EPISODE 005: ALLYWAY

Meet allyway (she/her), a prominent figure in the vibrant Melbourne dance music scene. With a long-standing presence as a raver and radio DJ, allyway today loves to share her passion in clubs and at music festivals. She was classically trained on piano, then bass guitar, and later bought some turntables just to throw parties. Her dance roots are in trance, which taught her how to captivate an audience with a musical journey. In 2016, she began a transition through breaks and found a new expressive style in drum & bass. Renowned for her versatility, allyway has been grateful to share Melbourne's stages with a string of gigs, showcasing her ability to adapt to different styles and genres.

allyway hosted her own radio show on Trance Family Belgium Radio (TFB Radio) and Discover Trance Radio, and hosted with the Trancegression crew on KissFM Melbourne. Since then, she has been on support for Melbourne D&B events like Whiney, Pola & Bryson, SubFocus, Andy C, Metrik, A.M.C., and more.

EPISODE 004: EDAN

Edan is a London-born DJ and producer based in Melbourne Australia. With a DJ career spanning over 2 decades and impeccable attention to detail, Edan is renowned for his clean, crisp sound design and set curation incorporating minimal, melodic and funk.

Releasing his debut single "Call Me" on Fokuz Records with fellow producer Berrow in 2021, Edan sports follow-up releases on Skank and Bass, Engage, Celsius, 174 and Subdue labels.

In just the first half of 2024 Edan's new singles "Pressing On" and "What you Mean" and new EP 'Copy & Paste Culture' have been released to critical acclaim. With another EP forthcoming in 2025, he's showing no signs of slowing down.
