Hey Socialits! First and foremost, a massive shoutout to each and every one of you for rocking with us over the past three years. From navigating a flooded event and dealing with the COVID chaos in 2021 (shoutout to the undercover vibes!), to the mind-blowing turnout of 3500+ music enthusiasts in 2023, you’ve made BE Social Fest an absolute blast.

We’re buzzing with excitement about the future of our contemporary music festival, but we’ve got some news to share. Unfortunately, we’re hitting the pause button on BE Social Fest for 2024. It’s a tough call, but we want to keep it real with you.

We did have a chance to make 2024 happen, but here’s the deal – the ticket price would need to jump to $140 or more, up from our usual $99 and we’re all about keeping things fair for the awesome NQ region. Big props to Mackay Council, private sponsors and local businesses for wanting to support us with extra contribution, but, unfortunately, other contributing factors prevented us from being able to bring you BFS24

Stay tuned, though! We’re not calling it quits. The future of BE Social Fest is still burning bright, and we’re cooking up some epic plans. We appreciate your support, and we can’t wait to reunite on the dance floor when the time is right and circumstances change. Until then, keep the music alive, support and buy early to events and most of all, dance like nobody is watching 🎶✨

One of our core values is the commitment to giving back to the Mackay Community in various ways. As one of the largest non-touring music events in NQ, we have the opportunity to engage with the community on multiple levels, and we take great pride in being a part of its growth.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to RMHC and McDonalds in Mackay (Samantha, Sarah, Niki) for their support of Be Social Fest 2023. Raising $7,548 for such a worthy cause holds immense significance for us.

None of this would have been possible without the support of all who attended the Be Social Fest event and MAJOR sponsors: LiSTNR, Mackay Regional Council, Queensland Tourism, Hawk Hire, Queensland Mental Health Commission, MECC, The Dispensary and City Fitness. We are deeply appreciative of everyone’s involvement and assistance in making this event and contribution a reality.

Together, we are making a positive impact on our community, and we look forward to continuing our journey of giving back and growing an event that Mackay can call it’s own!

The Mackay region is well and truly in event season as we enjoy some of the most spectacular weather ☀️

Last weekend, 3200 festival goers attended BE Social Fest, the fastest-emerging music festival in our region.

Council is pleased to have supported this event under the Invest Mackay Events and Conferences attraction program. Since 2015-2016, council has invested more than $9 million dollars in hosting events around our region facilitating an estimated economic output of more than $221 million dollars.

It was tremendous to see so many attendees enjoying themselves and having the opportunity to experience live music of this calibre in our backyard.
