That was Mitch & Jane.
They made the most of springtime in Brissy by tying the knot in the New Farm Park rose garden.
There was a lot of tears, laughs and incredible lifelong memories made.

I get asked sometimes what makes the perfect wedding ceremony, and to be honest, it’s a number of little things.
Take for example, the wedding of Harry & Danni.
- Incredible backdrop. Harry knew the owner of this stunning piece of land and it was up there with some of the best locations I’ve ever celebranted (real word? Probably not).
- Add in a bridal party dressed to perfection.
- The crew from Terra Cooking getting the feasts prepared.
- Amazing weather!
- A rowdy crowd who just wanted to party and celebrate their mates coming together.
- And a couple who just love each other beyond words.
Those are the ingredients to a magical ceremony.

What a Saturday that was! Congratulations to Jack & Emily. Known these days as the Hayden’s 💍
When Georgia attended a 360 concert more than a decade ago the last thing she expected to find was a future husband. But she met a boy that night called Luke. She was very impressed by his confidence on the dance floor, like he truly thought no one was watching.
Fast forward a decade later, and we’re all present on their wedding day. Obviously the moves that Luke was cutting that night seemed to work.
“Today I promise that I will always be there to level out your mood swings, to go to the bakery for you when you’re hungover, and to make you watch Elf every December. I promise to love you as much as I love our dogs, blue cheese and Harry Potter. I promise to choose you today, all of my tomorrows, and into our forever. The origin of this romance is one of those classic forbidden love stories of the bakery world. He worked at Michel’s Patisserie, she worked at Brumbies. Instead of just using his staff discount for lunch from his own bakery, Jon would always buy a puff dog from the pretty girl who worked for the enemy. Her name was Claire. He was hooked by her cute laugh and bright blue eyes.

When these two punk rock fans first encountered each other it was a bit of a sliding doors moment. Marcus was at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow pub after having about 1000 beers at Oktoberfest, when he ran into an old friend he hadn’t seen in ages. That friend was with a pretty girl by the name of Jacinta. Little did they know, that casual introduction would change the course of their lives.
“I promise to continue to give you foot tickles, pretend to care about lawn maintenance, laugh at your dad jokes and be your supportive assistant coach when the Knights are playing. I promise to keep you grounded, be annoyingly optimistic, help you through life’s struggles, and be by your side to celebrate the wins.
But most of all, I simply promise to be here, supporting you through everything, having your back and working to make our marriage as strong as possible. I love you so damn much and couldn’t be more excited to keep building our lives together.

When the girl you meet at your local coffee shop becomes your wife.

Your sister claims to have introduced us as a “joke”, but I think deep down she knew we would be good for one another. Since our first date, you’ve been nothing but my biggest supporter, lover and best friend. You are my sounding board and you always ensure I don’t get too big for my boots.”

12 years ago I asked this wonderful human if she would be my girlfriend. It’s easily the greatest decision I ever made.
6 years ago in a nightclub, a very intense boys vs girls dance-off went down. Mikayla was one of those girls and Josh one of those boys, and they still disagree as to who actually won. But it was the dance-off that set the wheels turning for this day.
Fast forward a few years: Mikayla was rather cranky after Josh decided he DID want to go out for dinner after being completely nonchalant about it all week. She was about to snap at him that they didn’t have a booking, until he said “but I want to take you as my fiancé.” Of course he had the table booked all along.
She lost it - ecstatic, emotional and bewildered all at once. They don’t remember much else after that, other than a blur of happiness.

I was introduced to Sam & Theresa by way of T’s maid of honour Gabi aka .wildlings. Put it this way… it felt like I’d known them for years after one chat.
A date was locked in, and from there the wheels were put into motion.
fast forward to the wedding day and it was easily one of the most stunning backdrops I’ve had the privilege to call my afternoon office.

Leslie’s first impression of Ryan was that of a “super reliable colleague”. Always willing to do the boring jobs she needed done, but no one else wanted to do. On top of that, he was good looking and he sent her messages about rugby league on the weekend… the key to her heart.

The original plan was to have an outdoor wedding at the Samford Showground. However mother nature said “get stuffed” and it was absolutely pi***ng down. I’m talking rain so loud you couldn’t hear the person next to you. Good thing for all the guests, the celebrant had a red hot PA system.
Because of this change of plans, we now had just over 100 people moved inside for what became easily one of the best ceremonies I’ve ever been a part of. One I’ll never forget.
P.s For all future brides. If there’s a bit of rain on your wedding day always be reassured that your photos will look amazing.

This was one to remember…
So the first time I met Michael and Courtney we sat down at the pub and discuss all things weddings over a few beers. It was like I’d known them for years. Great yarns all round.
Fast forward to wedding day and it honestly it couldn’t have gone any better. It one of those autumn days in South-East Queensland we always rave about. The proposal story was easily one of the best I’ve ever heard. Gentlemen… it’s time to step your game up.
In a nutshell, it involved a series of laminated clues, each leading Courtney to the next clue, and each location being somehow significant to their relationship. The seventh clue took them to a house in Cairns by the Ocean. Yes you read that correctly. Then Michael vanished, and the last clue brought her to the top of a lookout to where he was down on one knee. Ridiculous.
