There’s things that I see at every wedding that stand out, sometimes it’s an only tiny detail. But there’s always something about a groom’s reaction the first time he sees his bride.

And Shane’s reaction was pure emotion. No hiding it. No trying to act tough. Just letting it all out.

The best part was that it started a domino effect with all of his groomsmen. By the time Lacey got to the front and held his hands, all the guys were a mess.

“You have helped me become the person I am today, I owe you a lifetime of thankyous and foot rubs. I will forever give the same patience you have had with me and the undeniable love that accompanies it. I asked God for an angel, and he sent his most beautiful angel of all, he sent you Lacey. One of the all-time great couples. I first met Allie through doing weddings at the Lussh over the years (RIP 😢) and when the time came for her special day, I was lucky enough to get the tick of approval from her and James.

I think these photos speak for themselves about the incredible evening that they now get to call their wedding night.

We attended a wedding Ben officiated a couple years back and loved the energy and warmth he brought to the day. Fast forward a couple of years and we knew he was the only choice of celebrant for our big day. Our wedding ceremony with Ben was an absolute blast! He skilfully combined humour, laughter, and heartfelt moments to create a fun and memorable ceremony. So many guests have complimented how perfect the ceremony was and he really set the tone and mood for the rest of the celebrations. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect celebrant. If you want a fun and unforgettable wedding, Ben is the way to go!

When you get to marry your best mate.

I’ve known Ant for almost 20 years now, and have seen the absolute rollercoaster that’s been his life. From selling e-cigarettes out of his car boot, to riding an eclectic scoter to work every day because he lost his licence. The highs and oh boy… the lows.

And to be honest, I really did question whether he would ever find “the girl”. He seemed too crazy to ever settle down. But he did have one or two redeeming qualities, at least.

It was in 2021 that he told me he’d started talking to Emma. He was uncharacteristically loved up. We knew Emma from school, and that she was smart, beautiful and driven. After giving it all of 5 seconds thought, I knew she would be perfect for him. It was exactly the right time, place and situation – the universe got it’s way.

In April of 2024 I watched him bawl his eyes out as they got married. Best day ever!

“I never thought I was supposed to fall in love the way that I did with you. Nobody was going to be able to handle me… I was too selfish, my humour was too dark and I was obviously far too sexy. But then I started bumping into you… At the open home, at the triathlon… How you stand out in a crowd of hundreds, how it was like there wasn’t another person there, I will never understand, outside of the fact that it was just well and truly always supposed to be you. And oh my god, is it you!!”

An autumn afternoon that these two will never forget. Within Brisbane’s stunning Tattersalls Club, Alex & Kirby held hands and told their family and friends how much they want to spend forever together.

“While I stand here today, I am so proud and happy that I have you standing in front of me. From the moment we met and shared our first wine together at the Pig n Whistle, to shortly after testing your pallete with a crumbed steak at Johnny Ringos, I knew that you were someone I needed to get to know more. The spark was definitely there.”

What a special afternoon this was, for many reasons. The feel of emotion and sheer joy that was in the air was incredible.

Cass said that growing up, marriage was never on her radar. But against all odds, the laws changed and she met her soulmate Shannon, and there they were saying “I do.” Everyone there absolutely felt the weight of that moment during the ceremony.

All the love in the world to you two amazing women.

“Every day of the last 3 years has been spent laughing with you, creating the most special memories with you, and loving you with my whole heart. It’s been an absolute rollercoaster, but I know that wherever the wind may take us, we will always grow stronger together, through whatever season, until we are old grey nannas.”
