For the Incas, alpacas were part of their process of animal domestication. Aside from the animals themselves, the textiles made with the fiber of this animal had great importance within the culture as a symbol of social status and exclusivity.

PLEASE HELP - MISSING ALPACA CRIA
Missing from Harcourt North (Ford Road)
One-month-old white female cria
Disappeared from a paddock - suspect may have been stolen or picked up if found on the road.
Cria must remain on their mother for 6 months, so this cria is unlikely to survive if not re-united with its mother or fed the correct milk replacer.
Mother is extremely distressed.
By now, the cria is also probably very unwell.
Please phone Prue on 0429 437 781 if you have any information. If you are able to access the cria, please either ring Prue or take it straight away to your local vet and ask them to call Prue.
A CASH REWARD will be paid for its SAFE return.
Hoping someone can help as this cria deserves to live.

Make your day even more special and unique with alpacas
Looking for something personal and unique to make your special day even more memorable?
Mioshi Park Alpacas are now offering personalised wedding (and other special events) packages.
We will provide alpacas, that have outstanding manners and loads of cuteness factor, to make you and your guests go wow (they will try their best not to outshine the bride or guest of honour though!!!)
They will happily pose for photographs, interact with guests, and even wear bow ties, veils, or something to match your colour scheme, if that is what you choose.
The alpacas would love to bring your ideas to life but if you're having trouble deciding how to fit them in to your big day, how about: • ring bearer alpaca • flower girl/boy alpaca • meet and greet / mix and mingle • photo shoots with you and your professional photographer • random guest photographs and of course the mandatory selfies!!.
Have another special event your planning? The alpacas would love to attend your Valentine's Day surprise or is there a special birthday coming up? Imagine the photo opportunities! Or for the truly unique experience, how about an alpaca-posal - how could your partner say no if you organised that!!
